Mavericks happy to avoid Lakers

We wanted to avoid you too.

L.A. Times: Dirk Nowitzki came right out and said it: The Dallas Mavericks did not want to open the playoffs against the Lakers.

“This was definitely a win we wanted to get,” Nowitzki said. “The Lakers are probably the hottest team in the West. We definitely didn’t want to face them in the first round. . . . [New Orleans] had a great year, but I think we match up pretty well.”

      hahahahahahahahahahahahahha

that rite we de best team

Dallas played last night like their life depended on it. I wonder how the Hornets will do in a seven game series with an experienced team that recently beat them.

      I couldn’t stop laughing after I saw Jason Kidds stats 27pts 10ast 10rbs

      Mavs over Hornets in 6

“we wanted to avoid you too” hahaha nice one nugget

i think kobe would’ve looked forward to dallas, but oh well, denvers just as good to be outscored in 3 quarter

yup happy to hear that dirk… scared to lose 4-0 vs us huh? hahaha yup thats right :)

Dirk is just being honest. He is also being stupid. If I am a member of the hornets I just have another reason to want to beat the mavs. In complementing the Lakers he subtly dissed the hornets even though he didn’t mean to.

“WE FEAR NOBODY” commenting to the post below the headline as if we were scared to meet the Mavericks in the first round had they lost to New Orleans! We legitamately have the best record in the west to ourselves and are currently the most rounded, talented, deepest, and well coached team along with the greatest basketball player in the NBA right now! We as Laker fans deserve to be cocky and have a swagger and pop our jerseys like Kobe and know that we can beat any team in the west because we’ve earned that right this year! We’re not afraid of other teams, teams are afraid to play us because again “WE FEAR NOBY”!!!!

Bring on any teams thats wants to try and take down the Western Conference Champs!

The only real test for the Lakers in the West is either Utah, San Antonio, or Phoenix who could maybe beat us in a 7 game series and at worst we’ll only have to play 2 out of the three teams. Can’t wait to beat KG and the Celtics in the Finals!!!!!

Well i had it at a toss up for the series… 50/50… now with that comment i have it 51% hornets so yes I will take that bet. Also, I think B. Scott will prove to be the better coach in this series taking an inexperience hornet team past the more experienced mav teams.
