League Considered Suspending Bynum for 3 Games

Stu Jackson told the LA Times that the league considered suspending Bynum for three games.

Bynum was ejected for a flagrant 2 on Beasley Friday night against the Wolves. Here is what Stu said:

“It was not a basketball play,” he said in a phone interview with The Times. “There was a chance for Bynum to make a basketball play, but he led with his forearm on a play that was both dangerous and reckless because the player, Michael Beasley, was vulnerable in the air with no defense. The result of all of this was Beasley was injured and had to leave the game. “We considered even going with three games, but we felt two was warranted here.”

Bynum is scheduled to return to action Friday, March 25th against the Los Angeles Clippers.

As a Lakers Fan, I’d say 2-3 games is good enough. I mean he could of ended his career with that type of foul play. It was very dangerous on what he did. Imagine if he didn’t land on his arm, it would of been worse. I love bynum, but the kind of thing he did was pretty bad.

its a playoff type foul and the Lakers are in tht mindset!
2 games was way too much i thought at least one and a fine!

So Garnett can hit a guy in the DICK and get nothing but 2 or 3 games is good. Dumbass comment.

2 games is more than enough, especially since he got right back up and even played the following game. 3 or more would be excessive.

Was Raja going for the ball when he clothesline Kobe? Raja got 1 game suspension for almost decapitating Kobe. Did Kwame get suspended on his flagrant foul against Boozer? He basically did the samething as Drew. Stu Jackson is the definition of a Joke.

Right on. I could not have said it better myself.

        right on brother

One game should have been enough, but with all the fouls and rough play they allow other teams and players to do I feel he should have gotten suspended at all. Being thrown out of the game should have been enough!

Correction: One game should have been enough, but with all the fouls and rough play they allow other teams and players to do I feel he shouldn’t have gotten suspended at all. Being thrown out of the game should have been enough!

    2 games are fine
bynum has a history of bad fouls after breaking gerald wallace ribs

good thing he is not out for 3

stop the conspiracy theory, you retards
nba and stern are definitely super happy lakers go to the finals because no other team in west gets as much rating

didn´t get kobe 2 games for his unnatural shooting act?
if you compare those 2 games are good… but i think 2 games in that one is ok. it was a stupid foul by bynum…

Stern has made the NBA a p*ssy league. Back in 80s, Bynum’s foul would have been, at most, a technical (and I doubt that even).

I’m proud of Bynum for taking that foul. It’s a warm up for when Rondo or Ray Allen enter the lane.

      * This*

But ya this was a somewhat hard foul , but at most, Flagrant 1, and if not, a 1 game was sufficient. It wasn’t worth 2..

Season suspension should have been handed out tbh.
    Very lenient this time around

i thought we were done with this . . .
