This Video made me laugh, He is one crazy Mother f…..
    Just what we need!

  • imfasterthanur

I’m a football fan by blood. But even i say, “fast-forward the NFL and let the NBA start again”.

This is going to be one crazy NBA season!

  • Lakers_The_Truth

I believe Artest will be the stepping stone that is going to make the Lakers unstoppable for the next two years or more. He will just bring that intensity on D that we lacked and make it consistent throughout the playoffs and regular season.
I will miss Ariza, he was great but Artest is definitely and improvement for us.

I smell dynasty on the making. Watch out NBA.

  • Myself

If you look closely, Ariza kinda looks like he has to remember what team he signed with. Gonna miss Ariza, but Artest let’s go show the world we can do it again.

  • THELAKERSWON09

Imagine if we could of kept ariza and still gotten artest lol that woulda been crazy

  • lucid

    Great video. I’m hyped.

  • punheteiro

    Artest is the man.
That dude is fre-aking crazy and I want to see that fa-ggot KG pull any crap during the regular season. Artest will just come and stick his di-ck on KG @ss.
    Wait and see

YES! finally, a good voiceover. these videos are great but i just cant listen to shane biens voice. its too soft and too quiet, sometimes i can barely make out what is being said. but this video does a nice job of incorporating bob schmidts voice.

i been reppin my artest jersey for 2 straight days since it came in the mail yesterday. ive gotten so many high fives and hollas its pretty funny. LA is ready for Artest

  • Nabil

Checking out players net +/- (based on per minute and when they’re on court vs. offcourt) from hoopsworld.com, it is interesting to note that Artest was pretty high on the list at 6.8+, and Ariza was actually 0.3- !!! I think that should clear things up for those who wondered just whether or not we should have kept Ariza instead. Sure, it would have been nice to keep him around and add Artest, but it’s much better to have Lamar+Artest then Ariza+Artest.

And, oh, yeah, Lamar was 3rd in the league behind only LeBron and CP3. That tells me that even though his bonehead plays kill me to watch, that probably I didn’t really appreciate what he was doing out there day in and day out.

lame sauce.. I want Trevor back yo!

  • Lakerfan4ever

I love this team and we need to get ready because we are about to watch something as especial as the 95-96 Chicago Bulls, expectations are high and we are so deep in each position that looks scary: Brown is becoming a force with his speed and toughness,Farmar has improved with his decision making,Vujacic,he can’t play any worse than last year and I expect improvement,Morrison has the potential and I think he is a great fit for the triangle offense, for Bynum this will be a defining year where he has to prove that he deserves a spot in our roster,we have invested 4 years in this kid that I think is time for him to shine…I’m telling you,if our players realize how especial this team is,we will be witnessing something amazing for years to come, there’s no excuses: THIS IS OUR TIME,let’s write history….GO LAKERS!!

  • lakerlife24

its this simple…ariza is gona become a no one wit the rockets and artest is gona become a star with the lakers!…simplen plain! laker show 2010 cant wait G!

Last years Lakers motto was “Ring”. And we got it.

This year, Shaq picked up on that, and when he was traded to the Cavs, said, “Ring for the King” (copycat).

And NOW, with this Lakers team, we are looking FAR BEYOND just a Championship. The motto (was this originally quoted by DFish?) is

    “Drive to 5″.

I think he means his (and Kobe’s) 5th ring. I have something else in mind: I’m thinking 5 consecutive Championships. I’ll say it here: it’s too bad for LeBron. He’s not going to get a ring in his ‘prime’ (or, young prime). He’ll have to wait until Kobe retires. That’s ok. He’ll still be 29 (30?). That’s still plenty of time to get a ring. Then he can spend 4 years after trying to catch up with Kobe.

If we lost walton but got ariza & artest.. Thats sick man!!

  • zen and tonic

Excellent production LD2k. We embrace the essence of Artest…the Laker!

  • purpleandgoldforlife

Ron Artest is a crazy mofo. However, he respects Phil Jackson so much that all he’s gonna do is bring his A game. He’s hungry for a championship and I’m sure that’s one of the biggest if not the only reason he came to LA. Watch out Boston, Cavaliers and anyone else that thinks they can compete with the LAKERS, you’re about to be CRUSHED!

  • Robert

    purpleandgoldforlife …

I found an old clip of Ron Artest, telling us what he (and the Lakers) are going to do to the rest of the league now:

    Another version:

(warning: it is very foolhardy to activate a super-android when you do not know if he will be in a good mood or not).

    Ron Artest = Super Android.

It’s hardly like “ring” was an original motto. I don’t think someone can steal the motto “ring.”

Artest is like a toughened, yet innocent kid, growing up without malice, in a world of image is everything!
…The guy seems to be really drop-dead sincere in what he says and portrays! …Which is why trouble has followed him in the past, since it is neither wise nor articulate to be like this all of the time! …He is first and foremost emotionally motivated, as he genuinely got choked up attributing his No. 37 to his friend Michael Jackson!
    …I LIKE THAT!

  • Robert

Look up ‘synergy’ – whole greater than the sum of its parts. With Artest, the Lakers as a whole move up a notch in greatness. Working together, it is going to be a very tight ballclub. It’s going to be scary. Kobe has never worked with someone as ‘intense’ as him, on the same ballclub (except for the Olympics, and All-Star games). Take a look at any of those games. It’s going to be slam dunk for the Lakers.

It won’t be a matter of how many wins the Lakers get next year (beating the Bulls record), it will be ‘by how many points on the average will the Lakers beat their opponents, in all their wins’. I predict double digits by the end of the year.

Best LD2K video yet. I can’t wait for next season to start

How naive can naive be… This so-called statistic (+/-) of a player’s value is the most meaningless barometer in the history of statistical relevancy… It proves absolutely NOTHING!

Case in point #1)… Basketball is a game of runs with an almost endless array of possibilities (match-ups) during any and all NBA games, all the while, this “Pointless Statistic” adds or subtracts a point from each player’s account, while simply being on the court, as points are being scored by either team!

Case in point #2)… Late game stats in Garbage Time and/or Blowouts will completely skew any relevancy to any so-called player’s accountability, regarding this measure!

…The main reason why LeHype was high on this “Hyped” up malarkey, since he and The Cavs enjoyed running up the score, as he padded his and the team’s stats, at the expense of much of the weak ass opposition, which non-coincidently, happens to reside mostly in the Eastern Conference!

…CP3 naturally would also be high on this list, coming naturally at the expense of his own team’s offensive vulnerability, as the Hornets are basically lost offensively without him-when he is not on the court! …And, also taking into account; his pension to take over offensively, when his team is down major points in the 4th quarter-in a frenzied attempt to comeback, naturally thus, adding to this pointless stat, even though they still most likely will lose!

  • Robert

Mr. … Warlock, point taken! Although I’ve been also on the +/- bandwagon lately, perhaps a ‘more relevant’ statistic is the “top 5 man rotation”:

    http://www.82games.com/0809/USORT13.HTM

The Lakers appear several times, certainly in the top 40, and more generally clustered (about 5 times) around the top 20-40 range. LO appears in all of these rotations. Artest appears somewhere before the top 60, in one of Houston’s rotations. LeHype does appear, but only twice in the top 40 (actually ahead of the Lakers).

A possibly more telling statistic (for the Lakers) is the “player pairs” statistic:

    http://www.82games.com/0809/0809LALP.HTM

Checking this out, it appears that any time LO appears in tandem with almost every player on the Lakers, their statistic improves (yes, there are some exceptions).

Agreed that it’s hard to garner information about importance of a player, based upon these types of statistics, but they may help.

man watching some of the videos OF ron-ron on you-tube, that fool is crazy. but u know what? ill take that guy on my team anyday. with his hunger to win a ring and the fact he took less $ to win in L.A, he will do what is asked of him. Plus hell be kept in check by L.O. and company. you need that 1 crazy guy on your team that will sacrifice himself for the game. DAMN I CANT WAIT FOR THE SEASON TO START!
