ESPN: Other than Miller, the Lakers have shown some interest in Raja Bell and Anthony Morrow, two Golden State players with the ability to spread the floor with their outside shooting. Bell tied for the league lead in 3-pointers with 205 in 2006-07 and Morrow, a 24-year-old swingman, led the league in 3-point percentage as a rookie, connecting at a 46.7 percent clip in 2008-09.

  • The Lake Show

    Morrow >> Miller.

    • KeyTurn

      Agreed but,

      Morrow = RFA
      Miller = UFA

  • Patrick Bateman

We need depth down low. I can already sense we might play Sasha and Fisher at the point and sign MM and/or Bell

Bell and Miller > Brown and Farmar

For the triangle we need shooters and no better shooters in FA than them.

    Sasha
    Bell
    Miller
    Odom
    shaq? ? ?

  • Be Strong

this is what i am talkin about!! i like this.. do it Mitch :)

  • KeyTurn

Looks like Mitch is trying to find a suitable backup for Kobe, and a great shooter, to spread things out for Bynum and Gasol.

These are guys I totally over looked, while being enamored by the PG position. Looks like Mitch is on the job, I have total faith in the guy, lets go for number 17!

  • ^ ^

Man… Anthony Marrow is a good player plus he’s young. Mitch sign him too. Get rid of puke!

  • laker fan

this is the guy of guy that wouldn’t mesh well with kobe… kobe demands the ball a lot, especially come post season, this kid looks like he needs lots of touches to get any rhythm going…. mike miller makes more sense, coming off the bench and provide those 3’s my vote is miller off the bench and the lakers still need to address the pg spot, someone like ridnour, felton or blake…

  • BigplayDA10

Since Farmar wants out I wonder if we could maybe swing a sign and trade for Darren Collison from the Hornets. The guy can really ball and I think he would fit well in the triangle and be a great successor to D-Fish. Could throw in Luke or something along with Farmar. Probably extremely unlikely, but a guy can dream right.

    • LD24

Why would the Hornets ever agree to this? They think highly enough of DC to think he could replace a lot of what CP3 brings. He’s an insanely hot commodity–we saw what he did when CP3 was sitting out. I don’t think the Hornets downgrade to Farmar and Luke.

I like the kid–he was at UCLA while I was there and you’re right, he’s awesome to watch. But he also really, really needs the ball in his hands. Plus I’m nearly positive that DC makes jack crap money. Farmar wants a raise, and Luke is ludicrously overpaid. Since salary doesn’t work AND the trade would be lopsided with only those three, the Hornets would want LA to take back a bad contract. I have a hunch that that’s not in Mitch’s gameplan. Not to mention that a lot more money is gonna be shelled out when DC gets his extension…

      • BigplayDA10

Alright man, you can calm down a little. I was just throwing out an idea. No need to freak out. I don’t know how all the salary stuff works out, I was just trying to say that I really like Collison as a player and would love him in a Lakers uniform.

    So our 2010/2011 Roster:

    PG: Fisher, J-Critt, Brown

    SG: Bryant, Morrow, Vujacic

    SF: Artest, Ebanks, Miller

    PF: Gasol, Caracter

    C: Bynum, Shaq????

    Love it or hate it

    • BigplayDA10

      You kinda forgot Odom.

    DO IT MITCH!!!

  • http://www.myspace.com/626bones Lakers 24 7

To me, Morrow and Miller are equivalent, but Morrow would make more sense because he’s younger and fresher, and playing alongside players like Kobe, Pau, and Fisher will make him a better player.

  • echeverria.d78

Get morrow. he’s very skilled moving the ball and he know’s how to score.

  • LAbassani

    DO IT!

  • http://www.twitter.com/TLN24 Marwan Marzina

Guys, saying “Do It!” doesn’t make it so. He is, after all, a RESTRICTED free agent which means if Lakers make an offer, its not likely they will nab morrow.

    • LD24

I wonder how likely the Warriors are to match. Given that their front office is way dysfunctional, the Lakers would have to offer something ridiculous to get Morrow. That said, nothing’s ever a sure thing with those Warriors…

Sign Brown. Trade Luke , Powell and Brown for Morrow and Bell. A stretch but who knows

    • http://youtube.com/lakersftw2010 RonRonGq

      their not retarded

  • jaydubb415

Rather have both miller n morrow ,so when miller get hurt we we would still have morrow.

  • TheLAKERSwon09

this is a big wtf to me, but idk enough about this guy to comment.

  • frank

THE LAKERS NEED TO SIGN ANTHONY MORROW. WITH HIS NATURAL SHOTTING SKILLS HE WOULD HELP OUT KOBE AND GASOL BY SPREADING THE FLOOR.. B/C NO ONE IS GOING TO LEAVE HIM. WITH HIS SHOOTING SKILLS.. WITH A GREAT YOUNG TALENT LIKE THAT HE CAN ONLY GET BETTER… SIGN ANTHONY MORROW!!

  • TK28

Please pull the trigger on this kid!!!…..An awesome shooter off the dribble, as well as a deadly 3 point marksman…..Can easily develope into a “Durantesque” type of player…..Mike Miller is good, but the upside on Morrow is his youth, and he’s “fearless”…..Do it Mitch, Do it!….But don’t forget to give D-Fish his two year deal.

BTW, Steve Blake is an EXCELLENT pick up!!……Also, due to the “Bird clause”, the MLE has nothing to do with what D-Fish could be offered. So the Lakers can just pay him the 10 mil straight up over 2 years, which is what he’s requesting…..Which shouldn’t be a problem for a veteran who helped your franchise win “5” World Championships………3 of them being consecutive, and 2 being Back 2 Back……..Should be a “No Brainer”…..But me, what do I know, I’m just a Die-Hard Laker Lover from back in the days of West and Goodrich.

  • FRANK

COME ON LETS DO IT LETS SIGN MORROW ALREADY!
