This is crazy! Phil really knows how to discipline his players. This was a great idea on Phil’s part. Usually, coaches would just brush it off, but we all know, Phil is no ordinary coach!

L.A. Times: Jackson worked his players for three-plus hours at the team’s training facility.

He said it was because his team “is not playing well” after two exhibition losses in Europe, because the Lakers were “out of focus a little bit” and because they didn’t “have a lot of practice time” while in London to play the Minnesota Timberwolves and in Barcelona, Spain, to play FC Barcelona.

Guess vacation time is over for the Lakers (although, any type of travel takes a toll). Plus, they had a ‘working’ vacation.
Hope they can get their engines rolling within a month. But heck, they’re all 20 and 30 year old athletes. No excuses. Spend some of your millions on healthy nutritious smoothies and supplements. Get some rest. Get into shape. We’re waiting for another championship. Get busy now.

I agree with Phil, nonsense this training camp. I believe alot of teams have gotten better and can build their confidence making this season the most competitive in a long time.
