The Lakers have locked up another Odom.
Earlier today, the Lakers announced the signing of second-round pick Darius Johnson-Odom. Terms of the signing were not released.
Johnson-Odom, who played four years at Marquette, was acquired in a draft night trade from the Dallas Mavericks for cash. The 6-2 shooting guard averaged 15.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 105 career games at Marquette, leading his team in scoring (18.3 ppg) during his senior year.
In this year’s NBA Summer League action, Johnson-Odom averaged 3.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists coming off the bench. Johnson-Odom’s best performance of the summer came in a 84-72 loss to the Sacramento Kings on July 19th, where Johnson-Odom put up nine points and seven rebounds in 19 minutes of action.
