He needs all the rest he can get, a healthy Bynum is what we want!

ESPN: Andrew Bynum’s left Achilles tendon is not torn, and the Los Angeles Lakers are cautiously optimistic their starting center can return from his latest injury in two weeks.

Yet Lakers coach Phil Jackson said Sunday he can’t predict a return timetable for Bynum, who strained his tendon early in the third quarter of the defending NBA champions’ win over Minnesota on Friday night.

“We really have nothing definitive about it,” Jackson said. “We really don’t know how this therapy is going to come out. The best thing I heard today is that he felt better from Day One to Day Two.”

An MRI on Saturday showed the injury wasn’t as serious as the Lakers initially feared, revealing no tears in Bynum’s heel. Yet Jackson acknowledged Bynum’s lost conditioning and the Lakers’ overall cautiousness with their oft-injured center could keep him out until shortly before the playoffs in mid-April.

“An Achilles or a leg injury is something you can’t really stay in great shape with,” Jackson said. “Taking off and landing, all your power moves, are something you’re going to have to adjust.”

Bynum was inactive for the Lakers’ home game against Washington on Sunday, and he won’t play on Los Angeles’ ensuing five-game road trip. He is averaging 15 points and 8.3 rebounds this season, third on the Lakers in both categories.

Get him healthy and use him as trade bait in the off season before he blows out both his knees and ruptures both his achilles tendons and the Lakers will be SOL cause he’ll have no value at all. The only time he was healthy for a whole season was his first two years when he didn’t even play and he sucked coc ked. His name might as well be Andrew Walton! He’s got value right now so get something for him while you can! Brook Lopez is a stud!

Some fan. The Lakers have to many phony fans, when teams win a lot they have in extra amount of waste(band wagon) who polute the message board with hate for Andrew Bynum and various players on the team. They do not know how to wish our player well and pray for their fast recovery. What the phony fans do is kick our players when something like an injury happens to them. Injuries are part of the game. When people start kicking our players when they are down and calling them bizzare names they are a bunch of phoney fans . Many fans from various teams who are very loyal to their home teams do not act like our phony so called laker fans. Fan from all over can’t understand why we treat our players so brutal while winning almost all of our games. Real fans need to get all the (band wagon fans out of Laker land.

LOL…as if me wishing for Bynum to stay healthy is gonna stop him from getting hurt! The guy’s got toothpicks for legs! Call me phony all you want but Bynum’s still’s a weak injury prone big man and Walton can lick the dirt off my shoes! I guess Rondo is the leader of the Real Laker Fans Club! The only way your allowed in is if you have a dildo sticking out your butt!

WTF!!! C’mon man! He was just starting to play well again! Bynum is more fragile than a carton of eggs man! Well, guess, we’ll have to pray for a speedy and full recovery! And then it’s gonna take him time to feel the flow on the offensive chemistry again!

Damn, just when we were starting to fire on all cylinders again! It’s alright, our team is still stacked with talent! Time for everyone to start being focused and cross that finish line!

    GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Whether or not Andrew Bynum is fragile, he is, no doubt, a beast when healthy. You’ve all seen him play at his best (hopefully) and he is only the third option for this team!

    .
Brook Lopez is only a stud for his team( THE DAMN NETS!!). he gets here and he is behind Lamar Odom (option wise). Andrew Bynum averages 3 points and half a rebound less than him and he is one of the defending champions. You may think that it is Andrew who is the problem, but maybe it is the other players that are not fully utilizing his entire ability that are the problem.

I’m here for your opinion. My opinion? We are so lucky to have one of the last true centers and the most finesse big man since Dirk Nowitzki. I’m happy with what we have and HOPE that it does not change.

Oh and yes, Rondo, there are some very bipolar Laker fans on this website. We all know who they are.

Wow beast? You lost me there for a second. I thought u were talking about Dwight Howard! Sorry, Bynum is no beast. He’s a big 7 footer with a very long wing span that makes him almost unblockable and good for throwing lob passes towards the basket. He dominates against the weaker teams with no real inside presence and dissapears against the likes of Yao, Shaq, and Dwight who are the real beasts of the NBA. For a guy that’s so valuable to the team, he’s never in the game during the 4th quarter or crunch time even against teams with big centers. I never said Bynum couldn’t play, he just can’t stay healthy. What does he have to do next, break his leg next year going for a lob pass to prove he’s injury prone. Well that probably will happen or he’ll severly sprain his ankle next year. You can quote me on that!
