Am speechless. I don’t know what to say… I don’t know who to believe. Plus, his missing practice with a “sore knee” and it seems his not even going to play in Thursday’s game. Coincidence? What the hell is going on? Just sound-off in the comments and tell us what you think! Damn…

AM570: Reports out of Chicago say the Bulls can have Kobe Bryant if they are willing to give up 4-young players. The Lakers reportedly want Joachim Noah, Ben Gordon, Andres Nocioni and Tyus Thomas and possibly a lst round draft pick.

So Jerry is up to his crazy moves again !!

He got rid of Shaq 2 yrs ago & now will lose Kobe cause he cant land a big name player..

we heard KG’s comments ! nobody wants to come here anymore …

it is time Jerry sells the team to The Magic Man & friends !!!

Time for a new owner in LA !!

Lakers Baby ! w/out Jerry/ Jim or Kupcake that is ..

Joachim Noah, Ben Gordon, Andres Nocioni and Tyus Thomas and possibly a lst round draft pick ???

you’ve got to be kidding Jerry !! none of these guys have ever won anything in the NBA, never will !!!!

  • cyrus

I have been a laker fan close to 3 decades, I have never seen this franchise fallen this low. It makes me numb and indifferent. I just don’t care anymore. If they loose Kobe, they will loose it all and I am not gonna sit around another decade for some kids to grow up and play. That would be it for me, no more Lakers, I don’t let some old dirty man, his narcissistic son and their clown manger jerk around with me anymore, No more. Sorry.

  • Arvincible

    yessss….it has begun

  • fatty

A quick check of salaries shows it wont work under CBA rules. Bulls would have to add someone else for a match.

Second, we would have 18 players with guaranteed contracts.

Another trade would have to be in the works to lighten 3 more players.

And the Bulls would have to hustle just to make the league minimum.

At this late stage in the game, would be hard to do.

Anything could happen, but it doesn’t seem plausible.

  • ab4sure

I think the salaries would match. Nocioni is making about 6-7 million which would give the bulls total salary around 17 mil close enough to kobe’s salary.

  • LakersFirst

If the Lakers do this, the Lakers aren’t just going to get rid of Kobe, the Bulls will have to take the contract of Brian Cook and possibly other players (i.e. Sasha perhaps and/or Kwame, although Kwame could probably be trade bait for another player on another team).

With regards to the Bulls, the Lakers should aim at Deng, Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, and either Nocioni or Wallace.

Finally, don’t be surprised if the Lakers do go after Arenas (remember he lit up the Lakers for 60 pts last year. I remember, I was at that game). Arenas is from L.A., so he wouldn’t mind playing in a Laker uniform.

  • Farbod

honestly. lakers wont trade kobe…….. its all hype! there working on another trade for sure it doesnt make sense to trade another future HOF for unproven trashy players

  • fatty

    AB4sure,

Your right on the salaries, but because Nocioni was just signed, he can’t be traded until Dec. 15.

That would prove the rumor was bogus.

  • lalakerfan

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG…this is really happening?!!?!?!?! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Lonestar848

First, I hate the idea of trading the best player in the league. I would only do it if I got some Olympic quality player in return. Specifically the likes of Carmelo, Wade, Arenas, Stoudamire, etc. The players the Bulls are offering aren’t even the best players on their team (Wallace, Deng, Hein) and they aren’t even at an all-star level. The only way I would trade Kobe w/o getting an Olympic quality player is if we got a few All-Stars like a Kobe/Cook for Sheed/Hamilton/Other Player. That is a trade that would benefit both teams.

  • JBMONKEYMAN

This has already been discussed at length on this blog but its worth repeating. If you are done with the Lakers because of Kobe being traded you are not a true Laker fan. I have loved to watch Kobe Bryant at times (and i do think he is the best player or top 3 in the league) but many times his selfishness has made me cringe. Kobe has had so many volitale relationships over the years… He has burned bridges with Shaq, Karl Malone, His parents, Phil Jackson, Jerry Buss, and now “ten million sweethearts”. Let the Chicago Bulls deal with him for what is left of his prime. By the way i am only in favor of a Chicago deal if Luol Deng is the centerpiece, Plus a minumium of 3 other Baby Bulls and a draft pick. Oh and please somehow find a way to include Brian Cook in the trade, ha. I hope Phil will stay on to coach this team, because for the first time in years thats exactly what it would be… a team.

  • steve

Wow i didnt expect it this soon…lamar.luke.ronnie.mihm.fish.gordon.thomas.noah.andreas….get rid of sasha.cook.and kwame…thats a start….guys and girls..if this is true gordan still needs an extension…

  • steve

If this deal goes down how long before skiles gets the sack?

  • KLMonster

calm down folks…it’s all hype…NOT HAPPENING…at least this coming season…

  • laker fan

This would be a good deal if we also get deng and get rid of cook or sasha or both.

  • Shaq786

honestly if kobe goes… i hope he doesnt go to the bulls… we can get better from dallas or phx, which would make us a great team

i say we trade, kobe, cook, and farmar… for AMARE, m. banks, Barbosa, and ATL’s first round pick

    1st half of the season:

    D-Fish/Javaris/m.banks
    Barbosa/Sasha/Coby
    Odom/Walton/V.rad
    Amare/Turaif
    Bynum/Mihm/Kwame

second half would look like this:

    Barbosa/D-Fish/m.banks
    Javaris/Sasha/Coby
    Odom/Walton/V.rad
    Amare/Turaif
    Bynum/Mihm/Kwame

  • steve

Shaq786…the line ups are good but that would mean we see him 4 times a year and the remote chance we make the playoffs another possible 7 games …11 games to many

  • Shaq786

that team is better than the team with kobe, first of all… and second of all, with fairly young players with amare (hopefully keeping healthy) barbosa, and ATL’s pick… our future is secure, and thats what it is alla bout

LAKERS>KOBE… EVENTHOUGH KOBE IS MY FAV PLAYER… this is a team with a strong history…. Kareem, Magic, Worthy… the list goes on

third of all… who cares if we meet them.. our front court will eat them for breakfast, they have no size, and that will hurt them big time, and they will struggle to be even 5th… while we become insant contender for the title…

    Nash>>>fish…. barbosa>grant… Amare>>Marion…. Bynum>>>> brian skinner

Then get some sleep… because none of this is really helping (me) with that.

  • cneo

I agree that if Kobe goes… screw him. I still think it’s a mistake to trade him. All I can see is that the Bulls really want him… but nothing is going to happen (yet). I really think it will depend on how the season plays out and how the team plays. If we play poorly… it’s just another notch on the “trade Kobe” board. Hopefully we can get past this distraction and focus on playing perfect.

shaq786…i agree that the roster would be very strong…i just dont want to see him……im sick of his crap and drama

  • steve

Bryant unhappy with buss comments…….He was believed to be unhappy that buss released details of a conversation they had in june in which bryant reiterated his demand to be traded……maybe buss should have done a car park spat and radio tour as well….what a joke

  • lakerfan81

I don’t believe this. Not because I wouldn’t believe that the lakers made an offer for Kobe bu because every other thing I read said he any offer for Kobe had to star with Deng and Chicago was unwilling to trade Deng.

  • byebyekb24

WE NEED A SUPERSTAR. BUT HE NEEDS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • kyler_hay

dont worry everybody Kobe is not going no where

  • kyler_hay

stop smoking whatever it is you smokin…KOBE is not to blame for this mess!!!and do you really think PHIL will stay to coach a bunch of under achievers…GET REAL!!!!

  • JBMONKEYMAN

Kobe has been in the middle of every mess that has been the Laker soap opera for the past 4 years. Phil is in bed with the Busses (literaly) and wanted Kobe to be traded once before. If he likes the pieces they get in return for Kobe i think he will stay. Am i the only one who thinks there is a possability that Phil stays if Kobe goes? Or am i just smokin whatever it is that im smokin?

  • Shaq786

i dont know about you guys.. but its just troubling me because i know e aint going to get his full worth if we dont get a third team involved….

I say we trade kobe, v.rad, cook and mo … for t-mac, battier, scola, justin reed… than swing t-mac, turaif, shane battier… for Pau Gasol and Mike Miller

    Line Up:
    d-fish/farmar/javaris
    miller/sasha/coby
    odom/walton/reed
    gasol/Scola/turner
    bynum/kwame/mihm

thats a championship team.. with a great future….

  • Shaq786

Kobe, Turaif, V.rad, cook, and Mo

  • Shaq786

is less than Pau Gasol, Mike Miller, Justin Reed, and Luis Scola ( who got MVP over kobe, lebron, and melo in FIBA this summer, and who many belive will be recognized as the international rookie of the year, over yi, and bellini)

    Cyrus,

thats exactly what i have been saying since shaq left. buss has gone insane. just look at his personel life. someone please buy the lakers

  • gugy

I am so tired of this soap opera. At this point if Kobe leaves, good luck for him. Lakers will dive into new depths. Too bad, the management deserves what they get, because they put themselves into that position.

Sorry I love the Lakers, but I hate Jerry/mitch/jim/jennie. So I don’t mind to see these people be kicked out by the Lakers fans.

  • gugy

If Jerry has any respect for the fans, please give the franchise to Magic Johnson and let him rum that thing. That way we might have hope.

  • http://hzmdesigns.com hZm

Was this rumor brought up by Hacksaw?

Because if so, I’m already blowing it off as BS.

I think he will stay either way. Although PJ wants to keep kobe as a talent he also still finds it hard to coach him. He might feel relieved like alot of laker fans to see kobe go. He knows kobe has his strong will and if Kobe wants out you can’t stop him. One thing for sure is the lakers need to get some quality young talent back. No need to trade quickly, and perhaps in the meantime once the season starts, and if the lakers start winning kobe might change his mind. Who knows…….

  • gugy

Kobe will only stay with the Lakers if we advance to the conference finals. Anything less he will wants out.
It’s a given. I think he loves the franchise history, the fans but hate the FO and Buss. So at this point he rather go to Chicago and try to win there, since the East is much easier than the West.

Sorry guys, look really bad at this point for us.

  • balls

This can’t happen until at least December when Nocioni will be allowed to be traded!

  • foxxy

HAS ANYONE NOTICED THAT DR.BUSS CAME OUT WITH HIS STORY AFTER LAKER TICKETS WENT ON SALE AND OF COURSE SOLD OUT AS ALWAYS??????????????????????

  • fatty

Nocioni Can’t be traded until Dec 15th.

Whoever made up this rumor forgot that fact.

AB4sure’s point in my mind is valid. No need to panic to trade Kobe.

ESPN Roundtable guys assume the best time for a trade would be around ’08 draft. All will get more value then. Not in a rush deal. Dr. Buss is not going to give away Kobe, his own words.

In the mean time, Kobe is here for at least the season. Let’s enjoy it and hope for the best.

Losing brought about this dissension between the Buss’s and Kobe. Winning may or may not change it back.

Yep. Anything he says shouldn’t be mentioned. In fact, why does he have a job–oh right because people still listen to him. Look at all the Laker boards talking about it. You would think after a few years people would wise up on Hackshaw. The fraker who said Artest and JO were done deals to L.A among other false rumors he spewed. Let’s not forget that now!
