Kobe to Chicago – “done deal?”

Wait. What? Did I hear this right? This writer claims Kobe to Chicago is a “done deal.” Ummm… what the hell is going on? Sound off Laker Nation!

PressTelegram: BULLS-BOUND: We’ve played a little hoop in our day, but it all came crashing down when we gave it up in disgust after the Cop Across the Street’s eldest son beat us in a game of H-O-R-S-E.

Happily, we’re still plugged in to the world of hoops (thanks, still, to the Cop Across the Street’s son who now roams freely in the world of the NBA, and by “freely” we mean he sits on the floor, Jack Nicholson-style, at Lakers games) enough to know that one-man Laker-wrecker, Kobe Bryant, is headed off to the Chicago Bulls. No rumor. Done deal. So that’s one problem we can finally scratch off our list of things to fret about, and a whole new reason to root against the Bulls.

Of course, there’s always an outside (so extraordinarily slim as to be nonexistence) chance that we’re wrong, but we would happily bet your money on it.

I’m a Long Beach guy and the press telegram is published for Long Beach. Press-Telegram articles are biased and opinion based articles made by crazy journalists.

For example: I would read a title that says: “Shaq frustrated with Lakers organization.” And then 90% of the article would talk about baseball.

I never liked the Press-Telegram and the sports news it displays. I only read the local news on the front page. So don’t believe the crap it says.

I hope this isn’t true. we need keepkobe.com.

He knows someone who has inside rock solid info.

A season ticket holder and this person has all the answers because he sits in the good ones?

Make up its someone in the FO, or at least a janitor that over heard a secretary talking to her girlfriend on her cell phone. Now that would have more credibility.

I hope Kobe craps his pants and realizes he’s going to go to a team with no championship potential. THINK about it Kobe, you are in the weaker east, but if chicago ever even makes it, you still have to deal with the Spurs, Suns, or Mavs. Running away from the west will not get rid of this! No way Chicago can take out duncan & company with ben NO OFFENSE wallace! The Lakers can possibly sign arenas with the money coming off the books, there is more opportunity here.

If this happens, i propose a toast in hopes kobe never makes the playoffs again.

The fact that a team is away in the east is a huge advantage. Instead of running into the likes of houston, denver, dallas, suns, and spurs, probably having six game series with each team, that team is going to be beat up in the finals going through that. A likely scenario for the spurs would be, denver first, dallas second, and suns third, thats tough. Instead in the east youll sweep practically every team you play, maybe a six game in the conference finals, but the ride is easy and thats a huge advantage. A core of Hinrich, Kobe, Wallace, and Deng, that can get it done, theyll have enough offensive production and very athletic and quick on defense, that can win a title, given they dont completely destroy their depth.

OK, SORRY but there is no way the bulls keep hinrich and deng. NO WAY. Also, of course its easier, thats why he wants to run away from the west instead of taking it on like a man!
