Kobe ‘no problem with sitting’, could miss All-Star

Kobe looks like he is enjoying his rest but his ankle has yet to say that.

O.C. Register: Bryant said he doesn’t have a problem missing a game because of an injury; that too much is made of his “warrior” mentality. He went so far as to say that if the ankle doesn’t respond to treatment, he would sit out the All-Star game.

“People make a little bit too much of that,” Bryant said. “I’m not an idiot. I’m not going to run through a wall just to run through a wall. Injury-wise, if I feel I can play through it, I will. If it can heal while I’m playing, I’ll play.

“But if it’s the type of injury that playing will make it worse, I won’t play.”

Its good to hear that from Kobe. The team looks fine and the deep talent this roster has is starting to show. At this point Kobe can rely on his team mates more and save his energy for when the team needs the DAGGER. Now let the this team is better without Kobe jibberish begin for those with nothing Intelligent to say.

Kobe you never cease to amaze. Not only are you a warrior, you are also a brilliant mind. Just a plain common sense approach, nothing more nothing less.

Team Basketball is the most beautiful thing to watch and the Lakers have certainly displayed that in the last two games. Collectively they must learn to play the same way when Kobe returns with or without Andrew who needs to start earning his Lunch Money as Phil once put it. Bynum has no more excuses its time to start earning that 58 mil and he will be that All Star he so desperately wants to be because at this point he is just an injury prone kid.

Great, I hope when he comes back he’ll be closer to 100% coz I know Kobe ain’t missing that Boston game.

  • huh

Not hating on Kobe but why call yourself Bruce Willis if you’re going to say all these things.

Because Kobe got the biggest set of nuts, and he can do or say whatever the f*ck he wants!

because bruce willis will not run through a wall just to run through a wall

no point in kobe playing big minutes, we already know who’s going to win the all star MVP. He should just start and get a couple assists and then just sit down and rest.

    • drive-for-16th

hahaha. Lebrick is gonna win, guaranteed he will try to even if he dont, nba will still give him the mvp. Theres not many great players like there use to be anymore in the all star game.

      • Green Flannel

there are some great players this year, it’s just some of these players get individual awards by forcing it and thats why you-know-who will never win with Cleveland.

  • drive-for-16th

i was watching ktla morning news, roger from the sports lodge said, “LEBRON IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA” just cause he heard charles barkley say it. charles said “lebrons the berst player in the world and kobe is 2nd” It kinda pissed me off cause thats wat everyone is thinking even LA people. They already want to give lebron the season MVP.

    • lakerman1

Not I sir. Charles & the NBA just need a new set of nards to lick on and until Lebron catches up to Kobe hes not the best player in the NBA period. True greatness is measured by how many Championships you have and i will not sit by while they try and to Bestow greatness on James. Let him at least win a couple of rings before they try to make the comparison until then Kobe is the best.

      • lakerman1

And for any LA people thinking Lebron deserves the MVP let them move their butts to Stinky Ass Cleveland.

        • Green Flannel

i don’t hate lebron he is a great basketball player but that is the only thing lebron can use to brag in kobe and l.a’s face. like kobe said “right now lebron will be remembered for all the great plays and scoring, but later on when we are all retired, the greats will be remebered because of their rings and team achievements.

“I’m not an idiot. I’m not going to run through a wall just to run through a wall. Injury-wise, if I feel I can play through it, I will. If it can heal while I’m playing, I’ll play.”

You hear that , he is not an idiot lol….
    get better kob.

  • J.C.TEMPLE

Time to think of new players, back up for gasol= clippers center kaman. Labron to replace Kobe. These to replace the injury list = Andre/Kobe!

  • Green Flannel

hmmm nah if we are going by rings George Mikan and Kareem are the best laker because he had the most rings on that team. oh yea michael cooper, magic johnson, vern mikkelsen, jim pollard, and slater martin too.

It seems as though everyone in ‘fake’ media are just itching to crown LeBimbo. But honestly, until Kobe gives up, Kobe will be king. He’s just going through his mid-career set of injuries. Once he recovers, he has another 13 or so years to go (ok, maybe 6+). LeQuack will have to wait.

  • drive-for-16th

6 YEARS AND THEN LEBRICK WILL BE OVER 30 AND THAT SPEED AND DRIVING TO THE BASKET ISNT GONNA BE THERE WHEN YOUR OLD THATS WHEN HES GONNA REALIZE THAT HE NEEDS SOMETHING ELSE THAN TO JUST DRIVE AND GET A FOUL CALL “EVERYTIME”

  • drive-for-16th

KOBES SMARTER THAN LEBRICK CAUSE KOBE HAS SO MUCH TALENT, ALL YOU LEBRON LOVERS, TALK TO ME WHEN HES 31 AND HASNT WON SHIT CANT RELY ON HIS DRIVE ANYMORE.

  • Robert

I don’t think that LeSuck would disturb me as much, if the media didn’t try to prop him up at the expense of Kobe. The media hated on Kobe for so long, and they continue to do so. Maybe it’s also “laker-hating”. But LeViagra isn’t a bad player, in fact, pretty good. They just want him to be the greatest thing that ever lived, and he isn’t. He wouldn’t hold a candle to MJ, and certainly not Kobe.
LeSmush is a good player …… just … not as good as Kobe.

  • Robert

Also, Michelle Beadle from Sports Nation is a Kobe hater (and LeBrick lover – she’s trying to get him the nickname “Akron Hammer”, which is lame as hell – and he already has a nickname: LeBadSport).
    .
Fortunately, Colin Cowherd is a Laker/Kobe fan (probably one of the only ones in ESPN-land), and supports them, and gives them the right props.
