After Jaamal Wilkes’ jersey retirement ceremony during halftime of the Lakers’ victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, a reporter asked Kobe who he would like to present him for his jersey retirement ceremony:[blackbirdpie url="https://twitter.com/MedinaLakersNBA/status/284936752660090880"]
Shaq’s record of public statements about Kobe has been dicey. On one hand, Shaq has been extremely complimentary of Kobe.
But on the other hand…
Maybe the whole feud was all marketing?
Of course, Kobe has not been completely silent either.
It is interesting that Kobe would trust Shaq to speak during a defining moment of his basketball legacy. He is essentially giving Shaq the last word. Risky!
What do you think, Lakernation? Was Kobe just joking, or will Shaq take the mic at KB’s jersey retirement? If so, good move or bad move for the Mamba?
