While pulling in 25.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists in the month of March, Kobe Bryant managed to earn the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Month. Kobe lead the Lakers to a 12-1 record on the month, inching them within just 2 ½ games of the Spurs for first place in the Western Conference — something that seemed out of reach during the All-Star break.
Kobe Bryant hit two milestones in March, including surpassing Moses Malone on the All-Star scoring list, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the Lakers’ all-time leader in games played.
Chicago Bulls’ Derek Rose earned Eastern Conference Player of the Month. The two Players of the Month appear to be battling for the 2010-2011 MVP award.
