The debut episode of “Khloe and Lamar” aired on E! on Sunday Night, and for Lamar and anybody involved with the show, it was a successful first episode.
According to Variety, “Khloe & Lamar” opened to draw 2.6 million viewers in its premiere, slightly below the most recent “Kardashian” debut.
Fox Sports Radio’s, Ben Maller, broke down the numbers:
The Lakers have the highest local television ratings in the NBA, but their star Lamar Odom crushed them with his new reality TV show.
(Khloe and Lamar attracted) 835% more viewers than the average Lakers home game gets on local cable (Fox Sports Net West) in Los Angeles.
Keep in mind the Lakers are TOPS in the NBA with 278,000 average households.
In-fact thats 216% more eyeballs than the TOP SIX NBA teams get COMBINED (822,000) on local cable, according to ratings from SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY.
Looks like pairing Laker fans, with Kardashian fans may be the recipe for success.
