Jason Kapono Agrees to One-Year Deal with Lakers

Jason Kapono visited the Lakers facility back on Monday, and according to reports he is expected to sign a one year deal with the Lakers.

According to ESPNLA:

The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to terms with free-agent forward Jason Kapono, according to a league source. The team will sign the 3-point specialist to a contract once the NBA’s new collective bargaining agreement is ratified and the league’s signing period begins later this week.

Kapono is expected to sign a one-year deal for the veteran’s minimum, worth about $1.2 million, according to the source.

As Southern Californian’s know Kapono played college basketball at UCLA. He was the first player in the school’s history to lead the team in scoring four straight years.

Kapono, has averaged 6.9 points, 1.8 rebounds, and has shot 43.7 percent from three point range in his career.
