Current Rotation:

Jordan Hill, Pau Gasol, Ryan Kelly

With Gasol moving to center and Earl Clark and Antawn Jamison departing, the Lakers need bodies here. Jordan Hill will provide quality minutes, but he should also play some center. The Lakers need a small-ball type 4 to pair with Gasol, and run under D’Antoni.

Lamar Odom

Get the band back together? Lamar has been less than stellar since leaving L.A. Even without Phil coaching, coming back to play with Kobe and Pau may help Lamar regain some form (that is, if the Clippers don’t re-sign him). He loved being a Laker, and was deeply hurt when L.A. traded him away. Because of his Hollywood connections, he probably will want to stay in L.A. with one team or another.

Marreese Speights

Active and athletic. Would be a FANTASTIC pickup for the Lakers, though he will probably end up out of their price range.

Byron Mullens

Young 7 footer with a decent 3 point touch. Could be a fit  with the Lakers, but not a sure thing by any stretch. Not a great defender, but a big body.

My Recommendation:

Lamar Odom
