This is pretty funny actually how weird the salary cap rules work. We should sign him to a 10 day contract, stick him in at the end of the first half for a few seconds in 2 games, then let him go. Of course, Kevin Pritchard would find a way to outsmart us. http://realgm.com/sr...on_blazers_cap/

The idea is that his 9 mil will count against the Blazers' cap through 2009-10.

We don't need him, a team is gonna pick him up no matter what.

I seriously do not know why the Clippers or Knicks are sleeping on him.

They both could use the help.

The Clippers for obvious reasons. And the Knicks just to see a Q-Rich and D.Miles reunion

lets not get kevin pritchard angry or next time one of our guys is a free agent like trevor ariza he'll do everything in his power to sign them

so lets not only negatives can come from this they are already over the cap with a bunch of young players who will want to be resigned anyways

You don't want to piss another organization off. Ripping them off in a player deal is one thing. Screwing them financially is another.

The league is best with all teams doing financially well.
Gooden>> Lamar Odom. Mo Williams>> Ray Allen>> Gasol. Nene= Gasol.

Like the full mid-level salary cap exception. Can't we sign him before the end of the season?

if that was Luke and it was the Lakers organziation in that situation, other teams would be lining up to screw us.

And besides Portland never trades with us anyways so why does it matter if we screw them? they're our biggest competition for the next 5 years in the West.

We can re-sign Ariza for the full MLE.
