As of Today, January 7th BEFORE the Lakers-Warriors game and AFTER the Cavs-Bobcats game:

Lebron James: 27.5 Pts

Kobe Bryant: 27.1 Pts

Since the Cav's had a blowout win against the Bobcats, Luckily, Lebron only scored 21 before hittin' the bench.
But, dont forget the Cavaliers play the Celtics on Friday and Im going to assume Lebron scored more then 27.5 Points.

What do you guys think, Will Kobe Pass Lebron? Soon? How about D-Wade (28.7 Pts)?

i am not going to lie, i wish kobe could have the scoring title, the mvp, the nba title and the Finals Mvp, along with defensive player of the year, beating out trevor barely (who gets the most improved player award) but I am a Kobe fan also
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

I'm too lazy to do the exact math, but Kobe would have to score around 40+ to pass LeBron.

edit: just did the math. he'll need 38 tonight, which seems unnecessary against GS.

He could have that by the half with their defense.

Who cares if he passes Lebron though? Big deal. And it's not like it's near the end of the season or anything.

If Kobe has to lead the league in scoring with all that talent this team has, there is a big problem.

What's better, leading the league in scoring or leading the league in points?

Rings are all that matters. Everything else is personal, Rings are a team effort.

I know rings are more important. But that still doesn't answer my question.

As long as the Lakers stay ahead of the Cavs in the overall standings, that's all I care about.

Scoring will come and go.
