I doubt he'll catch MJ,

even given an average of 7 40 point games over the next 5-7 years of his career, that would only add 35-49 more games to his total, and he needs 80 to pass MJ

--
edit: if he needs to average more that seven 40 point games over the next 5-7 years, I will probably be dissapointed

And he'll continue to stay behind Jordan and Wilt; I think LeBron or Wade could (but probably won't) eventually pass Kobe (but neither will crack the Top 2), but it'll still be tough considering Kobe's not finished having 40+ point games.

What if his field goal percentage was above 70% and he was taking about 15 shots and 10 free throw attempts?

No way he can catch up. Those 2 dudes up top were on a whole nother level of scoring throughout their careers. They needed to score a lot early in their careers and were damn good at it, and stayed at that level for years and years.

Lol dumb.

Can't be dumb if it's already below the under appreciation of repetitive thought. But there is a way to have it become idiotic if it some how reached under the already beneath form of the under appreciated. Perhaps some added pronouns that wouldn't make sense and maybe some commas.

not even lebron has a shot at catching wilt and most likely not jordan

keep in mind lebron isn't somebody who goes off for 40+ often because he usually is 30-35 area

WHATS FUNNY, IS THE GUY PLAYED WITH SHAQ and great role players, then he had 4 years where he could dominate from a scoring point, and now he has a great supporting cast and despite only having 4 true years to be a dominant scorer, he cracks the top 3
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

If Kobe could play in those week eras, he would have won 5 Titles + 300 40point games.

Pluss he dosen't need to score those points for the Lakers to win.
Mike Breen: Walton can tip it. Bryant with the save.
Hubie Brown: Oh you gotta get a shot here

never gonna happen ..... and wilt and jordan both did their scoring in a "weak" nba era where they could average more than 34+ points per for a period of years more than 4 like kobe did
