We need to start a movement, bring back the Lions Den! Lets get this crowd pumped up.

It will NEVER happen. That crowd... that night... never again. That's all I will say.

The Lakers hadn't won a title in a long time. The crowd was just as hungry as the players were that year, if not moreso. Yeah, the Lakers have had some turnover since the three-peat, but not 10 years worth. It's almost expected that the Lakers contend every year.

I think if you want the crowd to be like that again, the Lakers need another championship drought. In that case, I hope to never see that crowd again. :P

If the Staples crowd ever goes nuts like that again it'll be in the Finals against Boston.

Staples Center gave out those gold shirts during that game, that explains all the gold in the crowd. Also, NBC didn't turn down the crowd volume for their telecasts.

they give away shirts these days too. they dont wear 'em anymore.

Well, like previously said, the crowd was like that because we haven't wont a title in forever, and the fans were hungry for one, just like this season. I know Staples will be rocking once April/May/June come along.

^ plus it was a game seven, and that team (portland) would have beat our current team, waaaay 2 good
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

the game also shows how much the tv tech has changed.

but that game was great. when they showed all the celebs that dont give 2 craps about the lakers lol the ones that you no longer see at games anymore.

i did like sam jacksons "shaft" kangoo hat lol

before it was lights out and it was all bright lol

totally. it looked like it was being streamed off of youtube or something.

glad i watched it, though. i had to be at work at 3am and i told myself i'd only watch the first half... of course that didn't work. i stayed up until 12 just to watch that beautiful oop to shaq, and his world famous reaction after.
