Portland forward Travis Outlaw doesn't believe that the defending-champion Celtics like to be roughed up.

"They are a team that likes to hit first," Outlaw said after Tuesday's win.

"I don't think they like to be hit. So they come out hard and try to hit you as hard as they can to intimidate you. But if you hold your ground or punch first, it rattles them a little bit."

outlaw should be a Laker, he fits extremely well in place of odom, even if he played sf and ariza played sg, and powell played pf, and sasha played pg, i would like that second unti, a wee bit better
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

Yeah and he can shoot, a better fit than Odom in the triangle offense at 3

yep, no one should fear boston anymore.

I see faith in your eyes
never you hear the discouraging lies
broken is the promise, betrayal
the healing hand held back by deepened nail
follow the god that failed

I said this in the GameDay thread for the Christmas game... We need to be the ones to push first. Get them on their heels from the get go and make a point of playing the game at our pace and style. Once they realize that they cannot push us over, it becomes a whole different ball game. See: Games Celtics lost this year.

the 24 point comeback says differently.

it amazes me how some people can fool themselves.

these are the facts

they are the champs

are 28-5

still the best defensive team

have a weak bench

there is where the idea of not taking hits comes. thats where we made our pushes. last year their bench kept leads now they lose them. once they get marbury that will change and the celtics will be consistent throughout the course of a game
