Kobe played 9 seasons in 8, and will probably play like 4-5 in 24. So they'll retire both.

I see faith in your eyes
never you hear the discouraging lies
broken is the promise, betrayal
the healing hand held back by deepened nail
follow the god that failed

*imagine if he changed his number to 23, imagine the controversy and hate he would attract!

I can't imagine him wearing 23. It doesn't look right but #8 and #24 fit pretty well on him. Also #10 and #27 did too for Team USA but whenever I picture him trying to wear a different number, it doesn't look good. Maybe it's because he's never worn it.i miss Crazy 8 from time to time...but 24 is fine

He would be the first Laker ever to have two jerseys retired!
He will not be the first in league history?

Not first to have 2 jerseys retired... but first to have 2 retired on the same team maybe? He will not be the first in league history?
How about 33?I can't imagine him wearing 23. It doesn't look right but #8 and #24 fit pretty well on him. Also #10 and #27 did too for Team USA but whenever I picture him trying to wear a different number, it doesn't look good. Maybe it's because he's never worn it.
27 is weird. And yea you're saying that cuz he's worn these numbers and not others.

I meant he brought up Olympic numbers too and said can't imagine Kobe wearing another number, but Kobe wore 33 before his NBA days. So was asking, does that look weird or what?33? That's Kareem's number.

I say bring back KB8, 24 has no identity.
1st MVP with 24. That's should be SOME SORT of identity to a certain extent.
Anyway, I was about to reply "...yet."

for each day to have a new and different sun."

that would be funny watching him play against the raptors wearing 81.
but 24 suites him well.
