I know same here. #8 is like the old Kobe and #24 is the new one. I wonder if they're going to retire both jerseys for Kobe.
Do you think, they should retire 8,or retire 24?
I like 24,cuz two numbers look better on a jersey, number 8 was too thin

I think they should retire both since he wore them and accomplished a lot with both numbers. However, they're probably going to end up retiring #24 for sure.Do you think, they should retire 8,or retire 24?

Both have to be retired.
8 = youth. Golden Boy. 3 titles, part of one of the greatest duos every, the dynasty. 62, 81, all that.
24 = New, more mature Kobe. We haven't even hit the new dynasty yet.

Yeh, we should retire both. Maybe Kobe should change his number again in a few years. Dominate the whole rafters. Maybe his new number can be 81 or something.Retire both. And Kobe dun really need to change his number again....18yrs pro: 8x6 = #48?

I can't imagine him wearing anything other than 24 now. (Other than #10 for USA)
______________________I was sad when he first changed it, but I'm used to #24 now.

Hmmm imo, #81 should also be up there, even only there's #100 for Wilt...

I thought that too after he changed it
I loved him with #8 though. When I would choose my number for volleyball team in 6th grade, I chose #8 for Kobe.

Hell he could switch to 99 and change his name to Gretzky and I'd be cool with it

Already done by Manny.I love 24. Kobe can rock whatever he wants

Kobe played 9 seasons in 8, and will probably play like 4-5 in 24. So they'll retire both.
