Said referee Mike Callahan, “If we would have caught the six men on the court before the made field goal, then there would have been no score. We would have called a technical foul on Portland and stopped play.
“After the technical foul shot, Portland would have inbounded the ball as they were in possession before the stoppage.”

we should try this in a close game, but first we would need to acquire a small player like earl boykins, it could work...
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

I didn't defend Boston, I'm defending fairness in the game. And not fairness based on a judgment call, I mean based on the rulebook and not having SIX GUYS on the court! How the [expletive] does that happen!?!??! CMON REFS.Are you CRAZY!?? It was against Boston so NO, there's NOTHING wrong with that whatsoever at all. Shame on you for defending Boston in the first place.
Stupid Celtics though, they still went up like 10 after that and lost the game still, and didn't lose by 1.
They should have gotten 2 tech FTs at least though, since based on a stupid technicality the shot counted.
