Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld believes guard Gilbert Arenas is close to returning to the court.

"He'll come back as soon as he's ready," Grunfeld said. "He's getting close."

However, Grunfeld knows no timetable for his return.

"I don't know," he said. "He's working hard but no timetable. Whenever he's ready."

Even if Washington is out of the playoff hunt when he is able to return, they want Arenas on the court so he can get into a rhythm with the team.
