Exactly, if you say Hip-Hop is dead... you're saying the culture is dead.
It's not dead... the culture is still great.

Of course it's not a bad thing. The old Hip Hop is dead. I don't see why it's such a bad thing for people to rap about the things THEY want.

I'm rich, I got a lady, blah blah blah. If you're broke, why the hell do you want to listen to a guy gloat about his wealth?

It's garbage right now. It used to tackle social issues, and tell a story. Now it's about going to a club, getting laid, and showing off your expensive clothes.

I agree man. Also there is NO beats anymore. I feel bad for anyone thats 25 years old or younger. They missed out big time on what was good. They dont know what they missed out on. Its NOT becaues im getting old either. I said it when I was 24 that it was starting to go downhill. I could see it comin

I beleieve one poster has already had it right... It's where you look.

I have a homie that put me on to SFP and they have been around for a minute.. I simply wasn't lookin' in the right places.. I don't listen to the radio unless its news or sportstalk radio***LAKER[expletive] clears throat.. Radio plays the same ish every hour. It sux, so I Ipod with all the ish the radio chooses not to play. The wake up show wit Sway and Tech as another poster in another form is, was and will always be the isht.
IMO Hip Hop ain't dead. My opinion, don't turn the radio on. Read music boards find the SFPs, the Rass Kass's, the Beatnuts's and the new unfound talent artist that can"SAVE" Hip Hop if it needs saving...
