i have to give phil the greatest too, people always talk about his players, but why didnt Mike d'antoni win last year, why isnt terry porter doing better this year, his starting line-up consists of Nash(top 5 pg), very athletic and good three point shooter, slam-dunk contest winning all-star caliber(Jason-Richardson), Grant hill, Amare(top 5 Big men),Shaq(top 5 center)...mixed with all this experience, and barbosa, barnes, and Lopez off the bench, to me that's overall more talent than us, plus other teams have been ultra talented as well, those sacremento teams that challenged the Lakers...The west in general at that time...the east had so many great teams when MJ and Scottie was doing their thing, and they beat the Lakers that first year, so Phil-U DA MAN
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

Congrats Phil, just on another accomplishment from a great coach.

"The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences,
and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon,
for each day to have a new and different sun."
