Kobe or LeBron?

LeBron James has established himself as a legitimate triple-double threat. He averages 27.4 points, 6.6 assists, 6.9 rebounds per game for his career. He has 20 career triple doubles, compared to Kobe Bryant's 14 in his 12 year career.
On offense, LeBron utilizes his quickness, size, and strength to get past defenders. When penetrating to the basket LeBron exhibits exceptional body control, adjusting his shot in mid-air according to the defense, allowing him to absorb contact and finish at the basket. He is a solid rebounder.
His overall skill sets and on-court play has led to many comparisons to NBA legends Oscar Robertson, Michal Jordan, Magic Johnson.
LeBron is an extraordinary passer, he constantly looks for his teammates, and works to make them better.
He is a born leader, his voice can be heard during practice, inside huddles, and on the court.
This year he has become a great defensive player. He challenges himself to take on the opposing teams best offensive player. Day in and out he sets the tone for his team defensively.
He's posted up great numbers, and his resume is astonishing.
Scary thing is, that he's only 23, and nowhere near his prime. That is what makes LeBron the best player.

Well? Give me an argument against this, I am a Lakers fan and I live in LA, but I give credit where it is due, and LeBron is the best player out there right now.
Yes. Let's give him credit.
And how about some cookies too?

kobe gets the nod as the best player based on rings, YEARS of performance at a high level, and in the clutch... lebron is having a GREAT season this year, i also say its too early to start handing out MVP awards. lebron is definitely next in line to be the best player in the game, and probably sooner than later, but there are things he needs to prove - and preferably on a big enough stage - aside from winning a ring. his FT %age is still below 80%. that needs to go up, especially late in games. he still needs to work on his outside shot. he's improved from 15-21 feet or so this season, but his 3 point %age is below 30, hell, below 28 techincally (.278). you have no business jacking up 3s at that %age...get back in the gym bron bron...kobe's been shooting 3s like [expletive] all season and he's still doing .319. basically, sure his numbers are incredible this year, and THIS SEASON he's been far and away the best player, but c'mon now...you can't just hand him the crown less than 30 games deep, he's going to need to earn it

Be looked upon as a team leader (in the sens of making those around you better).
Make first team all-defense (more than once).
Show you care more about winning and the soul of the game than money.
Maybe after all of those are accomplished he can be put in the same class. Until then - sorry - Kobe remains #1.
It's not just my opinion, or Laker fans opinions - its NBA player's opinions as well. Somehow I think they might know the best.

i was talking about now in my post directly before your last one...Those videos were YEARS ago! i'm talking bout now!!
i also bet if you asked lebron today who the best player in the game was, he'd still say kobe because he knows how these things work. he knows he won't be widely accepted as the best until he does those things i said.

VIdeos were a couple years ago but I still am talking about now homie!!!
I just saw you in my 2k Sports forum
Ayo no disrespect to Bron Bron who is a certified beast but as long as Kobe is balling it really isn't that one sided when it comes to the label the best player on the planet.
I think Lebron has the best chance to win the MVP award this year but don't think Kobe is gonna sit quiet and not make a run for back to back himself.
Lebron is so unselfish like for example during the Gold Medal game he let Kobe and Dwayne Wade lock it down for us in the final minutes.

No doubt that when Kobe hangs up the KB Nike Zoom kicks for good the throne is all his..........D-Wade too

Give me one good reason why he can't post here.why is this here? what relevancy does this have with the lakers? why are you here?
He's trying to have a discussion on who's the better player this season. Nothing wrong with that.

One injury could change everything for Lebron. Lebron hasn't had a significant injury to keep him out for a significant amount of time, as for Kobe that is different. He (kobe) even plays through major injuries so his team still has success (Injured Pinky finger, which is still in bad shape).Scary thing is, that he's only 23, and nowhere near his prime. That is what makes LeBron the best player.
