I'm not sure about this, and we'll obviously find out tommorow, but i'm wondering if Boston has the mental edge because they beat them so bad in the finals last year, as well as took both regular season games. As far as Kobe and Fisher, I would say absolutely not. They are definitely both mentally strong, and gamers...But unfortunately I'm not so sure that some of the other players (you know who they are) can handle the pressure as well, which was shown in the finals last year, as well as close games this year. I mean, this is the biggest game of the year. It's kind of the same thing with us playing New Orleans or San Antonio...We handed their asses to them last year, so we have the mental edge over them. Hopefully, we are physically tougher and better this year, and can play with some balls and get that W.

By the way, does anyone know who Las Vegas is picking to win?

180 is the over/under

Celtics favored by 2 1/2.

These are opening odds and will surely change.

hmm lets give vegas an upset!! haha

but u never know, their cockiness from beating us last year could be a mental handicap for them. our Lakers have had this on their mind aaallll summer and aaaaallllllll season so far. they can't wait to meet us again and once again beat us down...but we can't wait to meet them again and prove EVERYBODY wrong. we've been mentally preparing for this for a while.

I don't which one's you look at but Vegas has us actually favored. It even got a Celtic Blog pissed off

Odds

I nearly spit out my Indian spice milk tea this morning upon seeing the line for tomorrow's game with the Lakers. Los Angeles minus 3. Seriously? Vegas knows all, but this line has me puzzled.27-2. 19 in a row. League and franchise records. Last night as the Celtics were blasting Philly, Mike Gorman said he believes the current team is better than the 1986 team. The Lakers are coming off a 4 game in 6 night stretch in which they lost two games. Their defense which was drawing raves early in the season is now allowing nearly 98 ppg. The Lakers are also without one of their key bench players - Jordan Farmar.

The good news about the Lakers being favored: Doc will make sure the guys find out. KG will walk into the lockerroom at the Staples Center, see the line on the chalkboard and scream, "You gotta be [expletive]tin' me!"

Here's my best unbiased prediction: Celtics win by 16.

If it takes Boston and their fans to get motivated by looking at Vegas odds, then wow.

There's another one that has the game as a pick - meaning a virtual tie.

I think there's a ton of conflicting info on this one.

Umm just check some sites and it says Lakers Favored by 1.5 and Over/Under is 200. Sounds more realistic. If it was Celtics -2.5 and O/U 180, you could make a bunch of money on a parlay.

Realistically, the Celtics "should" be favored, however, the game is in Los Angeles and the Lakers won most of the home games in the finals last year, so that could account for that.
