It really bothers me that Dish doesn't broadcast KCAL9 in HD. Especially when I have a LCD TV. Do I have to buy a separate HD antenna and watch it locally on KCAL or what?

i have direcTV, but in santa barbara. what's really screwed up is the local cable in santa barbara does provide kcal...

I have Dish and I get to see KCAL9 in HD. There's obviously something you need to do that you're probably not.It really bothers me that Dish doesn't broadcast KCAL9 in HD. Especially when I have a LCD TV. Do I have to buy a separate HD antenna and watch it locally on KCAL or what?

no, its because you live in los angeles. kcal 9 is only broadcasted in los angeles, orange county, ventura county, and probably a few other near by counties. in some cases you can call your satellite provider and ask them to change your local channels, but direcTV doesn't, or at least wouldn't for me...can't speak for dish networkI have Dish and I get to see KCAL9 in HD. There's obviously something you need to do that you're probably not.
