yea but Ariza isn't earning much. Wallace has a 8 mil contract and still got like 4 more years left in it. If we give up Luke and Radman to get him, I'd do it in a heartbeat :lol: But considering how high the cats are on him, we would have to give up something valuable to get him (Odom is the first that comes to mind). So if Odom is gone and Wallace is shelved, that would be a double loss.

GW's salary is the tough part, but I think he has All-Star potential and that his salary is about right by NBA standards. The question is whether Dr. Buss is willing to piece off a portion of his $43 million profit (even after luxury taxes) to guarantee us a winner. Next year Lamar will go elsewhere and we'll sign Ariza to a 6 year, $30 million deal. Mitch will have to find a way for 1-8 to be well paid and 9-14 (or 15) to be helpful, but lower paid players. You know, guys like Josh Powell. I think there's room for Gerald Wallace with the right deal.
