For the first 8 or so games, we were playing better defense then the celtics did last year... and even though the teams werent so good, look at what we do now to sub .500 teams.

SO, WHAT HAPPENED?

teamsadjusted, but more importantly...the second unit gives up more points, due in part to big-headedness
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

^ i dont think weak mentality, thats anger from A lakers fans perspective, media hype, weak rotation and dismal 4th quarters are spot on, also
bench not bringing it, and loss of control of tempo

I think the Lakers are just bored right now and are just going through the regular season motion.

Them being bored I don't agree with, but just going through the motions sounds accurate.

There was an interview with Derek Fisher before one of the last 4 games, and they asked him why they started off great but now are looking like a below average defensive team.

What Fish said was that the new system they put in on defense caught a lot of teams off guard but after 10 games, teams were able to adjust.

That's exactly it. They all adjusted, and we stayed the same, and continue to stay the same. Because they're bored? Don't even get me started...
