Tough loss, but it was very unlikely that we were going to win 3/3 against Texas. If Rangers win the first two against Oakland, expect them to rest everyone in the final game so that Oakland gets in and we don't. They know Oakland isn't a threat.

I wasn't really watching too closely the first two months...What was/were the reasons for that slump? Lineups, Pujols, etc.? I know that later on, our choking really just had more to do with our pitchers [expletive]ing up.

It was a combination of everything. Hitting was terrible, hatcher was fired. Starting pitching outside of weav and Wilson sucked. Bullpen sucked. They traded for frieri, that helped for a while. Too many lineups. Sitting mark trumbo, keeping trout in the minors. Playing Abreu. Ya catch my drift?

I understood why Trout was kept in the minors. People forget he was sick through most of Spring Training. He didn't have time to prepare for the season. He had lost a ton of weight and had to get his body back into shape.

I don't think I've ever been this disappointed in the Angels before. Normally the Lakers are right around the corner so it softens the blow, but I doubt that happens this year.

The American league is crazy competitive. Usually in baseball 90 wins used to be the Magic number, if you get to 90 a great chance you make it to the postseason

So you got 5 teams with 90 wins and 2 more teams with 90 wins left out. American League is stacked, unless the Angels upgrade their pitching, bullpen and more bats, this might be how it might end up every year for them, get 90 wins post up big win totals but still miss playoffs. Need to stack the deck better

They HAVE the talent. they didn't perform or weren't put in position to perform. The lineup has tons of talent. Rotation. Same. Pen and bench are weak. Were weak coming in.

I remember that about trout but they could've put him on the DL couldn't they? The Abreu thing made me mad. They had no business bringing him back from spring training. The writing was on the wall early with him. Those at bats should have gone to mark or Peter. It created a disturbance that should've never been.
