Oh boy.... Neither so cal fan base has any right to talk.

Im a fan of both So Cal teams but i go to more Angels games. Pretty disappointed in this.

I'm very surprised that some of you are so down on your team.

Look, the Angels have the talent but baseball is such a weird sport that the most talented team falls short sometimes and that's because over a 162 game season, it's a grind for every team in the league.

Many teams would love to have your starting rotation but sometimes that doesn't work out like expected (remember the dream trio of Hamels, Halladay, and Lee?) Now your bullpen is a different story and should be the #1 priority after hiring a new manager.

The Angels aren't far away. A new voice is needed in the coach, Mike's tenure has been good but at some point change is needed. This is what I think you need:

- New manager (Francona)

- Revamped bullpen

- New third baseman

- Healthy Iannetta at catcher


Like I said, the Angels aren't far away. With the emergence of Trout, it's something to build on and I expect they will next season.

I'm surprised you're very surprised we're down. Anyone who has watched every game this year would understand our frustration.

West coast. Imagine you had one of the highest payrolls in the league and miss the playoffs 3 consecutive seasons. Imagine the dodgers sign 1-2 big free agents and struggle most of the year to stay above .500. I Imagine you'd be mad too, as would any fan.

If it wasn't for mike trout ( and trumbo early) we'd easily be in last place and would have struggled to muster 80 wins.

We have every reason to [expletive], rightfully so.

Nice win - 2.5 games back of wild card now. We play the Rangers 3 times and the A's play them 7 times, so it's entirely possible that we can still get that WC spot if we do our job.

This season has hit an all-time low... I'm going to be forced to root for Ian Kinsler. This will be tough to do.

Holding on by one run in the 7th. Damn those Oak A's seem to be as hot as us right now. But the way the Orioles are playing we might be playing the A's in the wildcard. Those Orioles are only .5 games ahead and falling quick

^ The guy's arsenal/repertoire is just filthy. How many different pitches does he have? Not only that, but he can throw them all pretty effectively/well too. He is fun to watch.

A pretty cool thing is that Baltimore is also only 2.5 games ahead. Would absolutely love for them to start losing, so that we're not just depending on one team (A's) to lose. Oakland has 5 more against the Rangers this year, and Angels have three more, but since we are going to have Weaver and Greinke pitch in that Ranger series, we'll have a great shot to pull out 2/3 games.

Have to be honest though...CJ is pitching today against Felix Hernandez, so I'm kind of nervous.
