When are they going to start to play front court defense? I'm tired of seeing these no name point guard just tear through our defense. Bino Udrih!!! I like Derrick and Jordan, but maybe we need to go with a bigger front court? Example: Kobe, Traver, Rad, Gasol, and Bynum. What do you guys think? In the beginning of season the lakers looked solid defensively, they were rotating well. Now they do not rotate well and it ends up costing them with a man open.

Teams have adjusted to what the Lakers were doing defensively earlier.
The Lakers were playing a strong side zone, forcing the point guard baseline and sending help.
Now teams simply spread the floor, run pick and roll at the top of the key and the point guards are getting penetration.
Phil needs to adjust the scheme accordingly.

If you look at the front court they are failling part of it it's becuase Rad Man is getting eaten alive so Kobe, and Fisher have to help out and when they do they leave their man wide open for 3's or short jumpers, there's no other way to put it but Ariza needs to be more consistent with his shot, the moment that happens Rad will be on the bench for sure that's the only thing keeping Phil from putting Ariza as a starter, if they put Ariza in they will start to clog the post and Rad opens that up.

I love so see Ariza start!!! Vlad Rad is just awful defensively!! I just hate seeing him handle the rock. All I know is that they need to come up with something, I don't want to see Vlad get destroyed by Paul Pierce. But like KaPau said, Ariza needs to be more consistent with his shot.
