No I wouldnt give up youth athletisism and defence for shooting alone
If only Shannon put that athleticism to work on the defensive end. He gambles way too much and his defensive IQ is very low.

Since when was Shannon a good defender? He ahtletic, and that's all. I would trade for Korver in a hearbeat, he arguably has the smoothest shooting stroke in the league and he moves really well without the ball. We haven't had a good three point shooter in a long [expletive] time.
neither are good defenders but korver could be the worst defender in the league. Korver does ONE thing and ONE thing only: shoot the basketball
he runs around without the ball...just to get the ball.

Do you want an automatic money shooter or a pure athlete? It's either on or the other. They both highly specialize in their respective area. In this case, it's kinda tough to say for me. As much as I like Korver and I really do, even though we have length on our team, we don't have very many disgusting athletes and Shannon is one of them so I'd probably just stay pat for now, as horrid as Shannon's jumpshot usually is. My thinking would come down to if it ain't broke, don't fix it. We're still winning games so we're okay for now I'd say.
I agree with you as far as athleticism goes. LA is a pretty old team and Shannon is pretty much the only crazy/ athletic player on our team. He has made many strides since last season, but he still has his moments where we see his low b-ball IQ. He falls in love with his jumper way too much, where as he could be using his athleticism as an advantage and drive to the rim.
I really wasn't even giving my opinion about Korver at all. I was just weighing in on that response that said Shannon brings defense and that just isn't true..lol. Like you said, the team is winning so that's all that matters.

1. Granger is one dimensional and overrated. He's a good scorer, but he's inefficient. If Ron was on the Pacers he would be putting up 20+ points as well like he did in Sacremento, Houston, Indians.
2. We do not need any more offense. We've already got the best scorer in the game in Kobe, the best lowpost scorer in Pau, and solid 3rd and 4th options in Drew and Lamar. Ron when engaged like he has been recently is the best defender in basketball.
