No it was Kobe who veto'd the trade. If he was traded to the Bulls he wanted to have Deng.

Ofcourse; the Bulls reportedly love Odom, and a low-post threat is what they lack. Plus, Odom would have the chance to rip it up in the east.I'd love to have Deng! The question is, would they take him for Odom?

that I really agreed with
lakers position is probably something like we want deng and hinrich for odom and pieces - no lower.
you don't negotiate by then saying never mind we'll take less
plus LA doesn't want to move Odom - not unless they get appreciably better

we will never get deng since he is a restricted agent and if they trade odom for deng big mistake i only trade odom for artest that's it.
