I would be upset with Coletti if I were a Doyer fan. Everything I read was that Sabathia wanted to play in LA. So much so that he might have taken less money.

They're reporting CC is a yankee now. So it appears that Tex is the Angels top priority and Man-ram is the Doyers. In all honesty, even if the Angels don't sign Tex, I won't be upset because there are a lot of quality guys out in the free agency market.

He can't seriously be contemplating Baltimore or, God forbid, the Nats.

I think it's a 2 pony race between us and the Sux, and you know how that usually turns out.

Unfortunately I do.
If Tex goes to the Nats or Orioles, then obviously all he cares about is money. But there are plenty of other options. Ibanez, Dunn, Burrell, Atkins from Colorado just to name a few. And I still hope they move Kendrick while he still has value. I'm still not over how crappy he played in the playoffs.

The fans out here loved K-Rod. I can't wait to see how he reacts once the New York fans start getting on him. Tiexiera is reportedly an east coast guy so who knows with him. Especially with Boras as his agent. But I won't lose any sleep if we don't re-sign him.

Ken Rosenthal has a source who expects Brian Fuentes to score a three-year, $33MM deal. That might be too pricey for the Cardinals, Brewers, and Tigers, leaving perhaps the Angels.

I don't know about Fuentes. He got knocked around pretty good for a big chunk of the season last year. He only started pitching better towards the end of the year. I say give Arredando a shot at closing and go find some middle relief help to replace Speier and Arredando's middle relief role. Then maybe even someone to step in for Shields in case he falters (which I'm guessing will likely happen at some point).

True. Probably not the top priority. I like hearing they still want to keep Juan Rivera.
As far as Shields, I trust him less than Frankie.
This will be a huge promotion and role for Arredondo.
The way the Angels play ball(1-2 run games), a quality pen is essential to success.

No Manny. I do not want Manny. I was listening to 830 the other night right after Dave Smith, and the host said that Regans doesn't see Manny coming to Anaheim. There are much better and cheaper options than Manny.
