Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants to fight again and has reached out to his father about returning in a training capacity after their estrangement for most of the last eight years, family members said Monday.

nice...my favorite boxer pretty boy floyd going up against my favorite filipino boxer...don't know who to root for on this one if this were to go down

Sounds good. I would cheer for Pacman. The one boxer I hate more than Oscar is Mayweather. Great fighter, but shut up.

Floyd was a great fighter, he hasn't fought in a while so HE BETTER NOT underestimate Manny, I'm pretty sure most people will say he will beat Manny (he's 3 years older, 2 inches taller, and has 5 inches in reach) , I kinda agree but it's like at 51% Floyd, 49% Manny .... it would change though if Manny puts on another beating against Hatton the way he did Oscar (the way that Floyd did to Hatton in 07'). All that I do know is that would be one great fight, and IMO I think it would come to a split decision. Floyd will be 32 in February 09', you never know when that age factor will come into play if they were to fight in 2010 where he will be 33.

I've lost A LOT, pretty much ALL my respect for Mayweather with his stupid retirement and dodging fighters and challengers left and right like he did Antonio Margorito TWICE to name a few, but if indeed this is true. Hallelujah, finally, he mans up. It would be a dream matchup indeed unlike De La Hoya, who was not in his prime anymore obviously and pretty much already done. I think Pacquiao can pull it off and if he has to fight Hatton before it, then hallelujah too, Hatton is SEVERELY overrated and I would just LOVE to see the Pac-man knock his arse down.
