i have a PS3 and 360

how do the networks compare

also is playstation network free

PSN is free.
Xbox Live is not.

The PSN is a very open network. Publishers and developers get to put up a lot of content and this open network allows for games like LittleBigPlanet to flourish. Microsoft has a very closed or "strict" policy.
I think more PSN games run on dedicated servers as opposed to player hosted servers as per Live as well.

On the other hand, Live has a lot of retro games, has a demo for (I think) every game you can purchase, and has a bigger fanbase at the moment.

For $50/year you can pay for Xbox Live Gold, or you can buy a new game to enjoy on your PS3.

9.0 Presentation
A continuation of the launch title franchise, Resistance 2 continues the battle against the Chimera. Lack of a narrator does hamper some of the cohesiveness of the game, however.
9.0 Graphics
Resistance 2 does have some weird technical and visual glitches, but the sheer number of enemies onscreen at once adds to the feeling of a massive battle for humanity.
9.0 Sound
Otherworldly sounds coupled with great voice acting and ambient effects heighten the action of the game.
9.5 Gameplay
Single player is a great experience with an epic scale to the campaign, but adding co-op and competitive play within the game only serves to augment the overall gameplay.
9.5 Lasting Appeal
A fast paced 10 hour single player campaign with multiple unlockables and difficulty levels are matched with extra multiplayer modes, gameplay options and community features.

Well i am going to get either 2k9 or Madden 09. And ever since 2k8 came out with that horrible shooting mode ive gone to madden. I hate that bar under and if you miss a few its impossible to make any. I mean come on!

Yea I read it yesterday, probably won't be as good as GOW2 but it'll be good enough.

* And by complete, we mean complete complete. Sony says — and you may already have heard this figure tossed around — that there's some 420 hours worth of play time in Resistance 2 required to unlock everything.

Thankfully, for at least my own review purposes, the single player campaign should take you about 9 to 11 hours to burn through. That's totally reasonable. But if you plan on dedicating the time to do everything, unlock every level, find every briefing, max out every class, you've got about 18 days of your life ahead of you just playing R2.
And if you do, you're a more dedicated man than me.

R2 Beta was awesome!
I loved the online Co-Op. Let me heal you I'm the medic. I'm not sure what to go for.. R2, NBA 2k9, COD5 hopefully prices drop on Thanksgiving.

really man. its soo fun to make ur own stuff. its gonna take a while though until u can make something decent.
first u gotta go through that story mode to get all the stuff. its worth it.

i have it. the multi is great but the single player is completely awesome. the levels are soooooooooooo huge!

Is there a lot lag online? thats my only concern. How would you compare it to CoD 4 online wise?
