As some of you may have noticed, LBP has been slightly delayed in some territories. At MM we were as shocked and dismayed by this as anyone - shellshocked and gutted. We can’t wait for you all to get playing and creating!

We learnt yesterday that there is a lyric in one of the licensed tracks which some people may find offensive, and which slipped through the usual screening processes. Obviously MM and Sony together took this very seriously. LBP should be enjoyable by all. So within 12 hours of hearing about this issue involving a lyric (in Somalian, I believe!), we prepared an automatic day 0 patch and had a new disk image ready; however a decision was made within Sony that the right thing to do for quality and support of people with no on-line was to replace existing disks.

Apologies to everyone excited to play the game and I can assure you that when it arrives, it will be worth the wait! We want everyone to be able to enjoy the game, and this tweak should help - we’re just gutted it couldn’t be sooner. MM continues to work hard to support the game too. We know that LBP will be something that you can enjoy for a long time to come, when all of this is forgotten and all that remains are thousands of incredible levels and creations to play, create and share.

My cousin got it from Qore. He shared it with me, as most PSN titles are shareable up to 5 times.

Resistance 2 > Any other FPS out there.

The co-op will have you hooked instantly. Being part of a team and feeling like you're truly achieving something is awesome. And don't get me started on leveling up... Basically, it's an FPS + an RPG rolled into one.

i was watching a live stream of the beta and it doesn't look that great.

I agree. It looks pretty average/lame on a stream.
But trust me... When you team up with 8 other people online [friends or random strangers!] and play co-op, you'll see how much fun it is; or when you're 1st place in a 30 vs. 30 match; Or when you and a friend grab two controllers and tear it up online from the same couch... This game is insanely addictive, and this is just the beta. Can't wait for the full thing. Day one confirmed!

MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is getting decent reviews. I enjoyed the original, so if I come across some money this winter I'll probably pick it up.

I am 50/50 on r2. I do think it will blow killzone out of the water. kz2 just seems like a really slow FPS.

Resistance 2 is beast for sure. I'm playing the BETA at the moment and I'm having a blast. Day one for sure, as I've said before. Killzone 2 is on it's own level, though. It's the Kobe of FPSs, bro. Besides, it's not out 'til February so that will give me plenty of time to enjoy LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, MotorStorm 2, etc.

I never agreed to that. Gameplay videos of GTA IV always looked off to me, and sure enough the final product was lame. Plus there was no beta, so we were going off of hyped up press reviews. Everyone in the Killzone 2 beta has had glowing things to say about it, plus all of the hands-on impressions of the single and multiplayer modes have been positive.

I'll wait for the final product before I call it anything. And I was a big time GTA fan(I still play San Andreas) but after playing 4, I learned to wait for things before I crown them.
