^ lol for some reason, i didnt see the "slim" part, but i saw everything else in that sentence
idk how the slims are laid out on the insides, but if they are anything like the fat ones, then without taking the system apart, idk if that vacuum will even do anything useful, and it may be a waste of $50
that vacuum might work really well, but the areas in which the dust "hides" inside the system, that vacuum probably wont even be able to reach most of it unless you open it up
i blew the vents of my old ps3 with compressed air before i opened it, and i thought i did a good job because i couldnt see any dust around the vents or anything, but when i took my ps3 apart, there was still alotta dust under/on top of the black cover, on the bluray drive, and under the power supply which wasnt even touched from when i originally blew the vents out
so if you are willing to buy that vacuum, you might aswell just take the ps3 apart and clean it the right way just to make sure nothing bad happens in the future due to overheating, because like i said, since you dont have an american ps3, even if something bad does happen to it, sony most likely wouldnt be able to repair it since they dont have those type of replacement models to give to customers at their production center
the good thing is, if you decide to open it, the slim ps3's have less internal parts/ribbons that you could accidentally break than the fat ps3's, so opening it up isnt as big of risk imo..all you need is a screw driver and a mini screw driver and you should be good to go
so if nothing bad is happening right now since you moved it, you are probably good, but to extend its life expectancy, if it starts making noise again, then its probably time to be cleaned out
