Boston already lost to them so that doesn't prove anything.See the difference in BOS and LAL??? Pacers tried the same run in the 4th and ended up losing big...
The Lakers still aren't ready.
We better step it up though. Celtics really do look like they're on another level.

The Celts are getting BETTER. That's the point.
We, on the other hand, look like we are doing a powerslide on asphalt in our birthday suits. (exaggeration for emphasis).
This team has all of the pieces to be a dominant team except one: execution as a TEAM.

I agree they're getting better, but them beating the Pacers doesn't really prove that. The Celts are getting BETTER. That's the point.

The DEPLETED Rockets were criticized last year for taking advantage of the same type of schedule...yet they found a win CONSISTENTLY.
We have NOT.
I'm not saying that those Rockets were more talented. I am saying they were better as a team over a long period of time.
Bottom-line for me? Kobe has to pass up shots. The Lakers HAVE to commit to the defensive end for the full 48.

I hope the Laker's players take these road games more seriously than some of the fans. If not, we could easily be at 5 losses by the time we play BOS...
Easily was more of an understatement than I thought originally.
I don't think we'll lose four of our last six in that bunch. That would be pretty disappointing, to say the least.
Want to revisit this thought, Real?
It's possible...not probable.
I'm hoping that we don't get stung by one of those teams and fall off the wagon to the tune of 3-4 losses.
To me, this team is still fragile. We have so many weapons that people ignore the black under current that is pervasive in our close ball-games. We are not dominant yet...
This next stretch will either expose that or push them into that "dominant" echelon...
What was our record when I made these statements? 14-1
How did I know? I didn't pay attention to the W-L record. I watched the Lakers play.
Obviously, the Lakers are not dominant or consistent yet. Nor are they the team to beat. Nor will they beat BOS.
Championship or bust. Right now, it's looking more like the latter than the former.

I'm BAAACCCKKKKK!!!
