Why don't the Lakers have a better intro?

Celtics - http://www.youtube.c...h?v=iuvtPuzj5QI
Pistons - http://www.youtube.c...h?v=wr7QHRInStI
Lakers - http://www.youtube.c...h?v=DxJ8ngvXR2c
And i'm sure many more teams have much better intros than the Lakers...Somebody?! Can Los Angeles get a better intro already?? I don't even know what song that is when they're introducing the players, but i'm tired of it. Also, the announcer needs to go.

personally, i don't really want fireworks and people jumping through flaming hoops during introductions. i want it to be about the guys on the floor--as authentic as possible.

I disagree. That's bull...You and "they" want it to be just about basketball, but they lost anyway. There's no reason why you can't have a great intro that excites the fans, and a great basketball team at the same time.
If there was no reason, then they would have all of this outrageous, over the top garbage that everyone else has. I think the intro is classy and to-the-point. Honestly, LT's classic intro does more for me then lights and sirens would EVER do. Puts me right back in the forum.

But at the same time......
"There's no reason why you can't have a great intro that excites the fans, and a great basketball team at the same time. "
I agree.

Scares? I don't think it even intimidates them. It probably makes them laugh out loud.I liked the celtics intro wen KG screams... if your in the arena it gives you the chills and it kinda scares the oppents but yeahh the scream of KG is bad as
I actually like the lakers intro better than the Celtics one, no need for flashy crap and fireworks/pyrotechnics.
You pay to go to a basketball game, not to see a good video intro or you watch the game on TV to watch a basketball game, not to see a good video intro, maybe I am wrong. I personally don't like the video intros anyway, waste of time.

i personally don't care, but if you think about it, the lakers, being one of the NBAs big teams probably should have a better intro...some would argue it makes them seem cheap and uncreative by having it so plain...but i guess the other side to that argument is that simple is classy...
another counter though...this is supposed to be hollywood, at the very least, the guy calling off the starters could stand to put a little more into the names

I just watched the replay of the 4th quarter of the Lakers-Mavs game and a better question is, why are they playing a Sonny and Cher song during a timeout? "I got you babe" <---bad choice of song.

my understanding that the team is more concerned with the basketball end of things. as diluted at staples center is, one of the only genuine things they have left is the game; hence lights out; hence the "weak" "intro."
personally, i don't really want fireworks and people jumping through flaming hoops during introductions. i want it to be about the guys on the floor--as authentic as possible.
Agree, and I like the transformers theme the Lakers Use.

"The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences,
and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon,
for each day to have a new and different sun."

Garbage?
This is entertainment first and foremost. Most people are not hardcore basketball fans. Introductions are done in all sports to help pump up the fans.
The Lakers intro isn't that bad.
