They will get a big test tomorrow on that from speedy Devin Harris, hopefully the D steps up.

Why has the defense failed them? Instead of containing, they are gambling on defense TOOOOOOO Much. Way too much.


Forcing the opposition into a bad shot deep in the clock is just as important as getting into the passing lanes.


That P&R defense was ATROCIOUS against the Kings also. That's on Fish, Farmar, Pau and Bynum. Inexcusable.

One of the things they did so perfectly earlier this season was double early, rotate from weakside to cover the man in the paint and have a player play "2nd base" on the far side, covering 2 men. That forced alot of turnovers and steals. They also got their hands in on the drive, getting strips from there. Anybody trying to go north-south had 2 people stopping his progress with the help recovering quickly to his man once the penetration was stopped.


They got real sloppy. Not really paying attention and not helping in time. There was a rhythm to the D that is GONE. Now, they have to get it back and KEEP it.

Lakers have no issue with their offense. Working on their defensive glitches will only make them a tougher team to beat.

it really is good to hear phil talking about defense, i'm hearing the types of things from our coaches and players that we need to hear from a championship team

their defense is def getting better.. but it still needs a little work. im sure we'll figure it out soon.
