Cena is great a promo's? :sly:

Im definitely not a Cena fan, nor do I think he is one of the greatest promo guys ever. However the fact remains in the current WWE era, he along with Punk are the best guys on the stick especially at main event level. Daniel Bryan has developed his mic game well over time, but is still work in progress to become an elite promo guy. Orton is solid without being spectacular. Alberto Del Rio is showing a little bit of improvement, but I frankly find it hard to connect with his promos like a lot of fans do. Undertaker barely wrestles now, otherwise he would be another top mic performer. Ziggler shows some promise. I think Bray Wyatt and Ambrose show potential to be solid promo guys.

I guess what im saying is Cena is a top promo guy by circumstance. The fact is a big weakness of todays wrestlers is mic skill. Hell, Cenas not that great but compared to a lot of other guys in WWE at the moment he is streets ahead. Theres a ton of great athletes in the WWE, but few possess the gift of the gab like some from the attitude era or previous eras. I do have to say though, Cena has had some great promos with the Rock,Punk and Bryan over the last few years.

I slightly disagree with Cena. Although, he improved greatly he just repeats himself in seemly in every promo. Not to mention when he does that "not serious promo and makes it all jokes. Wyatt is a great talker too

Yeah im definitely not a fan of a lot of his promos and their content these days. However he has the ability at times to draw me into his promos. Some of his promos with Rock, Punk and Bryan have been pretty good.

I guess the point I was making is that Cena, almost by default is one of the best promo guys today. The fact is that the WWE just lacks good mic guys these days. There is barely a handful that I would consider elite at promos. There is a lot of great in ring performers, however many of them also suffer from a weakness on the mic.

Yeah sorry for forgetting about Jericho, he is definitely right up there WHEN he is wrestling and performing. Cant believe I forgot him lol. Probably because he hasnt been on tv. Yeah Miz is solid on the mic too. I would include these guys in my handful of guys who are solid on the mic.

Yeah I actually used to like Miz when they pushed him a few years ago and they put the strap on him. He was solid as a heel. However, it has just gone downhill since he lost the WWE title. I thought they possibly had created another main eventer. But he really hasnt done nothing of significance the last couple years. From main eventing Wrestlemania 3 years back to not even wrestling and just hosting this past Summerslam. He is back to mid card status now. The fact is that Miz is much better as heel than a face. He is good on the mic and a decent in ring performer. However I agree with you, I have no idea why they gave him the figure 4 lol.

Yeah Sherri for me is one of the best woman if not the best on the mic. You could probably have a Divas/Valets top 10 as well. Again this is only going on mic ability alone.

Sherri Martel
Stephanie McMahon
Vickie Guerrero
Sunny
Trish Stratus
Lita
Luna Vachon
Sable
AJ Lee

It's surprising on how much Vickie gets heat. At one time last year she got the biggest reaction

Here are my favorite pro wrestlers...

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin - Great technical wrestler before the injury. Changed his style after the freak accident but he was still good in the ring as a brawler. Great on the mic. Very charismatic. Can give an intense promo and can also be funny on the mic. Loved the Stone Cold character. He was basically being himself. He was great as a face or heel. memorable matches he had against The Rock, Triple H, HBK and Kurt Angle.

"The Rock" Dwayne Johnson - Good in the ring. Not a technical wrestler but he can really entertain in the squared circle. Great on the mic. Same with Stone Cold who is Very charismatic, can also give intense promo's and funny on the mic. Great as a face or heel. Had great matches against Stone Cold, HHH, Mick Foley and Angle.

Hulk Hogan - Grew up watching him as a kid in the late 80's through the early 90's. Very charismatic. He's a character that was for the kids. He really helped the business. But was a overrated wrestler. Didn't watch much WCW when he was there. The most I watched was when he signed with WCW in '94. Stopped watching in late '96. But started watching again when he turned heel and joined the nWo. He was a good heel. All time favorite Hogan match was against The Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 6.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair - Damn good technical wrestler. Great on the mic. Always intense. Always seems like he's gonna get a heart attack after cutting a promo. Favorite Flair matches would be the I Quit Match against Terry Funk and the TLC match against Edge.

Sting - I liked his early days with that surfer gimmick. Loved him more with that crow gimmick. Mic work isn't great though. Neither is his ring work.

The Undertaker - He's a bad ass and love his gimmick.

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels - Great high flyer. Funny guy during his D-Generation X days. Favorite match would be the Ladder Match against Scott Hall.

Rob Van Dam - Very creative wrestler. He can really put on a entertaining match. Just watch the matches he had with Jerry Lynn, Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship against Christian on Raw, Ladder Match against Eddie Guerrero, and against Sabu at Hardcore Heaven '96. Ever since his return to WWE. He still over with the fans and get huge pops.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart - One of the great technical wrestlers in pro wrestling. If not the best. His mic skills isn't great but his ring work makes up for it.

Kurt Angle - The guy was a wrestling machine. I would say he's close to be a better wrestler than Bret.
