^ Hmm.. sounds good except for the price, thanks.

What's the most you've ever invested in a high performance camera & what's the most you ever would?

Now say, on average, usually, for the common person, when going to Laker games, yes there are rare exceptions for the common person when they get great seats, but speaking on an average basis, let's say you usually have to sit pretty higher.. what would be the best kind of cameras to get to take pictures of the players and the court/action from very afar and get the best possible results? What would probably be the best possible zoom for that and best possible mega pixels? Let's just go to the extremes and specifically go ALL THE WAY TO TOP, the highest of the highest seats.

my current camera, I spent around $1200 on it, and I think i'd keep my expenses under 1400.

you can shoot with this lens if you are at the highest of the seats

I have a Kodak Easyshare camera right now, but I'm looking to get a new one. Someone told me to get this one cause Canon's are really good cameras, but I keep reading about the cybershot. Does it matter? Any advice?

Canon > Sony.

I have a Canon Digital Rebel XTi dslr w/ 3 lenses
10.1 mp
love it! i try to take it everywhere

Rebel XTi w/ a couple lenses.
10 megapixels.

Looks like you two have the same one.

JOEY, do you still have that one and use that one or have you upgraded since then since this was a while back? & if not, when do you plan on doing so if ever and what do you have in mind?

Also, what in your opinion is the main or biggest difference between a top of the line Nikon and top of the line Canon?

Anybody have a digital camera that shoots in HD?

I'm getting one soon that does. Here are some examples of it:

It shoots in 720p HD. Some even shoot in 1080 p these day, digital cameras that is, but I don't wanna' go that far cuz the file sizes are even way bigger than what the 720p ones are already.

^ Yes, go with Canon or Nikon, no offense to the Sony people. Those are always known as the best & also on the video, tend to have way better quality than Sony on their digital cameras as well, specifically the Canon.

What are you looking at though more or less? How much are you willing to spend and how many megapixels do you want? Would you like it to be able to shoot in HD quality as well? 720p or 1080p?

This is the one I'm gonna' get soon.

http://www.amazon.com/Canon-PowerShot-SD780IS12-1-Stabilized-Black/dp/B001SER47Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1258415931&sr=8-1

They have it in four different colors and it shoots in 720p HD as well. It's a super bargain for all that it gives you and it's around the tiniest you'll ever see and made in Japan so you know it's durable and the build is almost flawless.

By the way, keep in mind, the sample images that are shown on Amazon's site, they still look amazing, some of them, but remember that when they are uploaded from the camera onto Amazon's site specifically, they are automatically shrunken and also lose a lot of its original quality so although some will still look good, keep in mind, they can still look a lot better, same goes for the YouTube HD sample videos from that camera I posted.

Gonna' upgrade from my Canon SD1100 IS 8 megapixel, which is fantastic as well and rated as one of the best for its class, if not the best.

that canon you posted is not bad.. only $200.. might look into that. I want a camera with at least 12mp.. and has pretty good zoom. dont really care for the video cause i dont take videos that much, but hey if it comes in HD.. thats a plus.. but its not a biggie...

I would love to own a dSLR but I want to be able to carry the camera anywhere I go, and I dont feel like carrying 1 big bag just for different lenses. so im going to stick with the point & shoot.

and yeah, Sony cameras IMO is overrated.

^ buy them lenses(like EF, white lenses<--aarrrggghh), and stuffs. that's the important stuff. if you want to go deep into photography, you have to improve the lenses of your camera

Don't listen to him bro'. I gave you some great info and you could read up more. Believe me. Canon & Nikon are the best. Sony's solid, but not in their class (sorry to those who have Sonys, don't get offended, nothing personal, just genuinely factual).

& yeah, that's one of the only con things about the Canon I showed you specifically that has the 720p HD, is that it'd be nice if it had more zoom, but then again, most Canon's for whatever the reason, they normally don't put a ton of zoom, but it's still enough for most and also keep in mind, like almost everything in electronics and cameras specifically, there's always something better or more about one over the other and the other having something or more better than the other.

You have to personally decide and prioritize what's most important to you. What features are more important to you. If a camera has way better picture quality over the other camera and has HD video on top of that, as well as its technologies and all other stuff, but the other one has better zoom, you go with whatever you think ultimately is more important.

I go with the greater picture quality and colors and HD over the better zoom, but that's just me.

Some people have different needs, wants, and priorities.

That's my baby. 10.1 megapixel.

I used to have another cybershot Sony before this. My dad got me this last year for my 16th birthday ^_^

My dad and I are Sony everything, but I have always wanted a Canon Dslr Love photography.
