On my xbox 360, I have halo 3 and is the solo game the right one that im playing on if I want to play missions? Has Anybody finished it?

Yes, if you have friends online or offline, you can go into co-op through multilplayer.
You can play online with three other people and go through a 4 player co-op mode of the single player campaign as well.
