The Pistons have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with backup Walter Herrmann.
The 6-foot-9 small forward was an unrestricted free agent and salary information was not disclosed.
The Pistons acquired Herrmann last season from the Charlotte Bobcats as part of the trade that shipped out center Nazr Mohammed.
Herrmann, a 29-year-old Argentine, appeared in only 28 games for the Pistons, but the team likes his size, toughness and three-point ability. He averaged 7.1 minutes and 3.0 points per game for Detroit..
