I see faith in your eyes
never you hear the discouraging lies
broken is the promise, betrayal
the healing hand held back by deepened nail
follow the god that failed

#2 Dwayne Mitchell - 6'5, 210 Guard
-Mitchell has improved his playmaking abilities considerably, and would be a great fit as a Guard in the triangle. His physique and athleticism are awesome, he can create a shot, and plays tough on defense, coming up with steals and overpowering many Guards because of his strength and bulk.
--A scorer and a hard-nosed athletic defender who can rebound incredibly well for a Guard. He's the athletic bruiser LA could use in the back court. Has become a better shooter, and is solid from distance, but is really a slasher and he's quite good at it.
Those are very nice things to read. Looks like he has a very good shot at making the squad, if he can prove these things in camp.

He was a poor shooter in college, from distance and from the line. He averaged about 27% on threes and 58% on FTs. He seems to have worked on it though, as he hit 33% of his threes and 65% of his FTs at Iowa in the D League last year. I wouldn't count on him to be a distance shooter, but people have a history of shooting great %s when they play on the floor with Kobe. I could see him hitting 30-35% of his threes (which is good enough to make it worthwhile), but he probably won't shoot much better on FTs, which is going to frustrate. He attacks the rim though. That's his game.can he shoot?

Mo Evans isn't a terrible comparison. I think of him as a poor man's Josh Smith.

At first I thought it was Dwyane Wade. I wonder why the Lakers got a guard.
The Lakers need a tough guard who can defend, and get to the line taking it strong to the hole. That's why IMO they drafted Crawford, and that's why they signed Dwayne Mitchell.

Might be some of him on the NBDL site or the SPL site. He looked good.Looks athletic but I'd be interested to see some actual game footage.
Here's one of him at a couple different levels:
Here's his camp workout (with Rajon Rondo):

Oh and about the guy, I never seen him play, but does this mean we can't sign the person who we drafted? Because he is better, imo.

Mitch said he's inviting 18 to camp. Then they'll trim that to 15 (or possibly 13, as Mitch has also said). Both can be invited to camp. As for Crawford vs. Mitchell, you might want to see both of them play before deciding.oh god, I fell for it, darn you nissan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
