What do you guys think about my boy Rose? Can win he win ROY? Is he the best player on the Bulls? Do you guys think he's going to be an all star in 2-3 years?

Rose: 18.8 Pts, 5.2 Ast, 4.6 Reb

He is the best of the Bulls, but Rudy Fer is going to win ROY http://lakernation.c...tyle_emoticons/default/cool.gif

Rudy will give Rose a run but I think Rose will win it

Unless Rudy starts in Portland and puts up better numbers then Rose, he's not winning it. They usually look at stats in regards to ROY award

OJ has been making a case as well early on. I'd say when its all said and done, it goes to Rose. The Bulls offense runs through him, he's the team's leader and no other rookie can say that.

I think he's definitely the best player on the Bulls. He's surprised the hell out of me thus far. Reminds me of when CP3 came into the league. Yeah you knew he'd be good but you didn't know he'd be so good so soon, and he plays like a seasoned vet. If he keeps it up, he's def. ROY.

Rudy SHOULD win it, but several factors will probably go in to Rose more likely winning, more than anything, way more love and attention from the mainstream media as well as there being somewhat of a bias and the voters or media wanting to see one of their own us home grown players win it instead.

Rudy Ranked #1 in ROTY Standing Yet Again

http://lakernation.c...h...30&start=30

..on Rudy Fernandez, the bold is the key..

He provides more than just box-score numbers. His energy, activity and feel for the game make the players around him better.

After watching him in person, I see that he is much "springier" than I had thought. Not just in his ability to jump -- yes, I saw his dunk in China this summer -- but in his overall ability to move suddenly to important spots on the floor. In scouting terms, he has very "live legs."

Basically, he does even A LOT more than what shows up in the stat sheet, his impact on the game overall is felt greatly in many many other ways, just his presence, I've see Rose and sure, I'm impressed by him like anybody, but he does not bring all the intangibles that Rudy brings when he is in the game, believe me.

oh yeah & Rudy's PER for what it's worth, is off the hook, almost 6 points higher basically than the runner up, Rose..

Rose is the better player and he also does a lot more than what show up in the stats sheet.

You're just bias because you like Rudy. I don't know anybody who would pick Rudy over Rose. lol.

Then you obviously haven't gone here:

http://boards.espn.g...o...&id=general

Nor read for the past several weeks consecutively, Fernandez being #1 over Rose in Rookie Rankings from ESPN, NBA.com, Rotoworld, Roland Ratings, etc..

bottomline is he's leading right now like it or not and that's FACT.

Who visits BSPN and their forums? Their forums are full of idiots and immature people. lol.

This thread is about Rose not about Rudy... stop derailing my thread talking about Rudy. We already have a couple of threads about Rudy.

Rose is going to be the better player and future all star in a couple of years.

Rose > Fernandez

Don't get me wrong, I respect Rudy, but I think Rose is far more valuable to his team (at this point in time), and is quickly becoming the franchise player. I had no idea he was so good, he'll become a beast to be reckoned with in a few year http://lakernation.c...tyle_emoticons/default/cool.gif

The Bulls just beat the Mavs.

Rose: 16 Pts, 6 Ast, 9 Reb after a horrible first half.

It's either OJ Mayo or Derrick Rose...

Its still way to early in the season right now. But Rudy Fernandez is the clear favorite right now. Just look at Chicanos post. Rose is NOT the best player with the Bulls right now. Is Deng still with the Bulls? Last time I checked he was still the best player with the Bulls. Rose is a good player with the potential to be a franchise player. As for rookie of the year, I think it might be between OJ, Rose and Rudy. In the end OJ is going to win it. Dude is a beast.

As the season progresses -- Rose, Mayo and Beasley will seperate themselves from any other rookie in the NBA. I want to bring Greg Oden into the discussion, but it's really though at the moment to get a grasp on what he'll be giving Portland as time goes by.

Rose: 18.8 ppg, 4.6 Reb, 5.2 Ast, 1.0 Stl, 46.8 fgp
Mayo: 20.6 ppg , 4.8 Reb, 2.3 Ast 1.3 Stl, 45.5 fgp

As of now, I feel Mayo and Rose are ahead of the pack, with B-Easy close behind. These two have been nothing but money for their respective squads and each has had an impact beyond measurable for a rookie.
